What is the BIG series? Twelve giant accessories made for one hat
The Bighead is a 2007 novelty hat that covers your avatar's head with an enormous blocky one wearing a smiley face. It is one of the most recognisable classics Roblox has ever made, with 222,891 favorites in our data. The problem with wearing it was always the same: nothing else fit. Put a normal fedora on a Bighead and the hat floats somewhere around your avatar's ear.
Roblox's answer in August 2016 was to take existing catalog accessories, scale them up, and sell them as separate items under a "BIG:" prefix. The catalog descriptions say it plainly. BIG: Purple Banded Top Hat reads "This hat only fits the Bighead. It does not fit regular heads." BIG: Silverthorn Antlers goes with "GO BIG OR GO HOME!"
Nine of the twelve were created on August 11, 2016 and went on sale over the following days. BIG: Shaggy and BIG Big Beard followed at the start of September, and BIG: Bighead Santa arrived that December. Community item records describe the sale windows as short timers: a few days for the first wave, six hours for BIG: Shaggy, five hours for the Santa hat. Which BIG items are Limiteds? Five of the twelve
Every BIG accessory went off-sale years ago. For a trader, what matters is Limited status, which is what lets copies change hands. Roblox granted it to five BIG items across 2022, starting with BIG: Silverthorn Antlers on May 30, 2022, the same day the Bighead itself went Limited.
The table below is ordered by RAP. Copies is how many exist. The lowest resale ask is the cheapest copy anyone currently has listed, which traders call the floor. Figures are RBX Invest catalog data as of September 9, 2026.

The launch price column explains most of the table. Roblox charged 25,000 Robux for one set of antlers in 2016, which was an extraordinary price for a hat at the time, and almost nobody bought it. That single decision is why the family has a five-figure item at the top and a 1,199 RAP item at the bottom.
BIG: Silverthorn Antlers: the 25,000 Robux hat only 441 people own
This is the most expensive BIG item and the most interesting one. Roblox created the asset on August 11, 2016 and asked 25,000 Robux for it during a sale that ran a couple of days that month. It was not a one-shot release either. Community records list it back on sale during the Labor Day 2017 and Memorial Day 2018 events, at the same price, before it went Limited on May 30, 2022. Three chances to buy it, and total supply today is still 441.
Compare it to its parent. The original Silverthorn Antlers came out in March 2009 at 250 Robux and has 189,343 copies with a RAP of 5,550. The BIG version looks nearly identical on a Bighead, exists at roughly a quarter of one percent of that supply, and carries about fourteen times the RAP. Same look, wildly different market, almost entirely because of what Roblox charged for each one.
Its floor of 72,000 currently sits under its RAP of 80,547. On an item with 441 copies that gap does not mean much on its own, since a handful of sales moves RAP a long way, but it is the sort of spread worth watching on the Deals feed. BIG: Purple Banded Top Hat: the scarcest BIG item that isn't the priciest
With 361 copies, this is the rarest thing in the family, and it still trades roughly half as high as the antlers. Scarcity is not the only thing that sets a price, and this pair is a clean demonstration of that. The antlers cost 2.5 times as much at launch, so the people who bought them were self-selecting for deep pockets, and antlers read as a fantasy accessory that suits a much wider range of avatars than a Victorian top hat sized for a giant smiley head.
Community records say Roblox sold it for 10,000 Robux on a three-day timer in August 2016, brought it back at the same price during the Memorial Day sales of 2018 and 2019, and gave it Limited status on July 4, 2022. Its floor of 48,000 sits above its RAP of 43,014, which usually means the cheap copies have already been bought and the remaining holders are in no rush. The affordable three: Rainbow Shades, Bighead Santa and Galaxy Girl
The bottom three all launched at 1,000 Robux or less and all have supply in the thousands, so they trade like cheap novelty classics.
BIG: Rainbow Shades is a face accessory rather than a hat. Community records put it on sale for 1,000 Robux in August 2016 and again during the Memorial Day 2018 sale. It has 3,523 copies, a 1,922 RAP and a 1,850 floor.
BIG: Bighead Santa is the youngest member, created December 6, 2016 and sold, by community records, at 250 Robux on a five-hour timer. Despite that short window it has 6,280 copies. Its 1,350 floor is the cheapest way into the family, sitting well under its 1,733 RAP.
BIG: Galaxy Girl is the most plentiful at 9,280 copies and the cheapest by RAP at 1,199, with a floor of 1,400 above it. Community records list three sale windows for it: 250 Robux in 2016, 100 Robux during the Labor Day 2017 sale, and 250 Robux on Black Friday 2018. The antlers got roughly the same number of chances and ended up with 441 copies, which tells you the price tag did the filtering.
Why did seven BIG accessories never become Limiteds?
Nobody outside Roblox knows why five were picked and seven were not. What matters for a collector is the consequence. All seven are confirmed off-sale in Roblox's catalog with no Limited flag, so they cannot be resold, cannot be traded, and have no RAP, no floor and no copy count on the resale market. If you own one, you own it forever.

Roblox has turned long off-sale items into Limiteds before and could do it again with any of these seven, a pattern we walk through in how offsale Roblox items become Limiteds. There is no way to position for it. The only people who would benefit are players who happened to click a 2016 sale banner.
What drives value in the BIG family?
Launch price, more than anything. The order of the five Limiteds is almost exactly the order of what Roblox charged in 2016. A 25,000 Robux hat filtered out nearly every buyer; a 250 Robux hat did not.
Availability barely mattered. It is tempting to assume the rare ones were harder to catch. Community records say otherwise: BIG: Silverthorn Antlers and BIG: Galaxy Girl each came back for roughly three sale events, and one has 441 copies while the other has 9,280. Price decided that.
The Bighead requirement. These only look right on one hat, and the Bighead itself is a Limited now with a 2,875 floor. A buyer wanting the full look has to fund both pieces. That caps demand on the cheap end while doing very little to the top two, which get bought as trophies more than as outfits.
No new supply, ever. Roblox stopped making BIG accessories in December 2016 and has not added one since.
Collector's outlook: two real collectibles and three cheap classics
BIG: Silverthorn Antlers and BIG: Purple Banded Top Hat are the only two here that behave like serious collectibles. Both are sub-500-copy classic Limiteds from 2016 with recognisable parents, and not many items on the platform fit that description. Both are also thin markets where one impatient seller can move the price 10% in an afternoon, so treat RAP as a rough guide.
The bottom three are worth owning if you like them. Under 2,000 Robux each, they are among the cheapest ways to hold a genuine Roblox-made classic Limited. Do not expect them to do anything dramatic, though. Supply in the thousands plus a hat requirement is not a recipe for appreciation.

One piece of math before you buy anything for a flip. Reselling a classic Limited costs a 30% marketplace fee, so you keep 70% of the sale price and need to sell for roughly 1.43 times what you paid just to break even.
