Roblox has published 19 classic cat Limiteds, counting house cats, lions and tigers. A Limited is a collectible Roblox has stopped selling, so the only way to own one now is to buy it from another player or trade for it. The line runs from a 2009 sci-fi tiger hybrid to a 2022 pixel tabby, and one hat sits far above the rest: Bastet: The Cat Goddess, with 78 copies and a story about a day Roblox's website broke. Everything below it is cheap by classic Limited standards, and most of the family trades under 10,000 Robux.
Quick answer: Roblox made 19 classic cat Limiteds. Bastet: The Cat Goddess is the scarcest at 78 copies with a RAP of 159,335 R$, and the Business Cat shoulder pet is the most common at 647,025 copies and a RAP of 1,546 R$.

Figures are RBX Invest catalog data and Roblox's live item data as of September 12, 2026. Copies means how many of that item exist in players' inventories today. The lowest ask, also called the floor, is the cheapest price a reseller currently has it listed at. RAP stands for Recent Average Price, Roblox's smoothed average of an item's past sale prices. Uploaded is the date Roblox created the asset, and several of these went on sale later, some of them years later.
How many cat Limiteds has Roblox made? Nineteen, spread across 13 years
Nineteen Roblox-made items with the Limited tag are cats, if you count the big ones. Lions and tigers are in, because Roblox treated them as the same joke: an animal riding on your head or your shoulder. The family covers hats, gear (Roblox's word for a usable tool your avatar carries into a game), shoulder pets, one neck scarf and one sword, and you can browse the whole group live on the cat items collection.
One item almost made the list and does not belong on it. Hat of the Week: Year of the Tiger Dragon went up in February 2010 to mark the Year of the Tiger, and Roblox built it as a dragon. Its own description admits the problem: "This Dragon is celebrating the Year of the Tiger, but that's too long for a hat name."
Community creators have published plenty of cat items as UGC Limiteds, the community-made collectibles that arrived in 2023. Those can be resold but never traded, so they live in a separate market from everything in the table above. The 19 items here are all Roblox's own work, which puts them in the classic hats collection and its neighbors.
What is Bastet: The Cat Goddess? Roblox's rarest cat hat, at 78 copies
Bastet: The Cat Goddess is an Egyptian cat headpiece with 78 copies in circulation, and Roblox's description is one line: "Protector of lower Egypt, defender of all cats."
Roblox uploaded the asset on July 5, 2011 and left it sitting. Community records say it reached the catalog on April 1, 2012, during the day Roblox's website was compromised and taken offline, under an earlier name, Stargate, and that it was never meant to be published at all. It sold at 900 Robux as a Limited U, meaning Roblox capped the run at a fixed number of copies and stamped each one with a serial number, the ownership rank that tells you whether you hold copy #3 or copy #90. Community records put the run at 100 copies, so 22 have since vanished into banned or deleted accounts, which is why 78 remain.
That makes it a gem: a scarce, high-value Limited that almost never comes up for sale. Its RAP sits at 159,335 R$ and the cheapest listing is 5,377,555 R$, a number no buyer has agreed to. Trader consensus on what Bastet is actually worth runs several times above its RAP, which is what happens when an item trades once in a blue moon. The scarcest end of the market generally lives on the rarest Limiteds collection.
Which cat Limiteds came from Roblox's animal series?
Two of the three most valuable cats after Bastet arrived inside themed animal lines that Roblox ran in the 2010s.
When Animals Attack: four masks, one of them a tiger
When Animals Attack is a line of four wild-animal masks named after a Fox television series. Roblox published Gorilla Grievance and Shark Situations in March 2010, then dropped the idea for five years before returning with Elephant Aggression in May 2015 and When Animals Attack: Tiger Tussle a month later, on June 12, 2015.
Tiger Tussle sold at 300 Robux and has 501 copies, the second-smallest supply of any cat Limited. Its RAP is 64,752 R$ and the floor is 76,565 R$, so the market is currently asking above the smoothed average. That gap is normal on an item with 501 copies.
From the Vault: a cat modeled on a Roblox intern
On September 4, 2015 Roblox released five animal pets at once under the banner From the Vault, described in their own text as coming "from the vault of interns past." Each one was based on a former Roblox intern. Four became Limiteds and the fifth, the Bandit Dog, never did.
From the Vault: Kawaii Cat is the white plush cat of the set, sold at 250 Robux with 4,032 copies today. Roblox wrote a secret into the description: the cat follows you, takes commands, "and there's also a special word to make it evolve." Community records say the word is "evolve," typed in chat while the gear is equipped, and the cat grows and turns red. It carries a 76,637 R$ RAP against an 87,862 R$ floor, the highest price of any cat gear item. Roblox has turned its own staff into collectibles more than once, and the ROBLOX Tablet series is the most extreme example.
Why are there two Business Cat items on Roblox?
Roblox published two different items called Business Cat in 2013, months apart, with the same office joke and wildly different supply.
The Business Cat shoulder pet came first, on July 3, 2013, at 200 Robux, and Roblox kept selling it for nine years. Its description is "I need that TPS report, right meow!" When Roblox finally pulled it off sale and flipped it to Limited on July 13, 2022, 647,025 copies already existed. That makes it the most common cat Limited by a distance, and its RAP of 1,546 R$ reflects it.
The Business Cat hat followed on November 27, 2013 at 100 Robux, sold as a Limited U capped at 2,002 copies. Its description is "Get in my office, right meow!" Same cat in a tiny suit. The shoulder pet has 323 copies for every one of the hat, and the hat carries a RAP of 17,638 R$, more than eleven times the shoulder pet's.
The pair is a clean lesson in how supply sets price on Roblox. Both are 2013 Roblox cats running the same office joke, and the one real difference between them is the cap. Items that sold openly for years and then went Limited behave differently from items that were scarce on day one, and the guide to offsale items going Limited covers that mechanic in full.
Which Roblox cat Limiteds are cheap?
Most of this family costs less than a decent UGC hat. Eight cat Limiteds have floors under 4,000 Robux, and six of those sit under 2,200.
Fuchsia Kitty Ears is the oldest cheap one, and Roblox never charged Robux for it. It went up on February 10, 2010 at 35 Tix, the Tickets currency Roblox retired in 2016, and came off sale that July. It turned Limited in February 2011, 19,949 copies exist today, and it changes hands around 2,190 R$. White Krazy Kitty has a similar story: sold for 50 Tix in November 2014 during a two-hour window, then flipped to Limited in February 2023, and 21,353 copies survive today. Both are covered by the broader Tix-era Limiteds history.
The rest of the cheap tier is high-supply and easy to buy this afternoon. Shoulder Shark Cat, a cat in a shark costume with the description "Jaws with paws," has 321,671 copies and a 708 R$ floor. Tiger Egg was a free prize from the 2013 event covered in our Egg Hunt 2013 history, and at 253,645 copies it asks 308 R$. Americat the Beautiful went up days before July 4, 2013 at a price of 176 Robux, which reads as a nod to 1776, and asks 1,974 R$.
One high-copy cat breaks the pattern. 8-Bit Tabby Cat has 163,201 copies and still holds a 7,653 R$ RAP, more than Kitty Monster and Ivory Lion manage with roughly a thousand copies each. It belongs to the 2022 pixel line covered in the 8-Bit series history, and that series has a following of its own. Demand does that. If you want to see the rest of the market at this price level, the Limiteds under 1,000 Robux collection is sorted live.
Why do cat Limiteds ask so much more than their RAP?
RAP is a smoothed average of an item's whole sale history. Each completed sale moves the number one tenth of the way toward that sale price, using the formula New RAP = Old RAP + (Sale Price − Old RAP) / 10. Our full RAP explainer walks through what that does to a chart.
The smoothing keeps RAP stable, and on a thin item it also keeps RAP stale. Outlawed Vampumatiger Hybrid is the clearest case in this family. Roblox sold this 2009 hat at 300 Robux, took it off sale exactly a year later, and made it a Limited a week after that. It has 711 copies, a RAP of 7,427 R$, and a cheapest listing of 370,000 R$. Nearly fifty times the RAP, from the one owner who bothered to list.
Bastet shows the same effect at the top end. Its RAP of 159,335 R$ sits barely above Hungry Lion Friend's 154,279 R$, yet traders price Bastet several times higher, because 78 copies and a strange origin story attract buyers that a 988-copy lion pet does not. When RAP order and trader consensus disagree like that, the thin side is usually the stale one.
A listing far above every past sale is a hold-out ask, an owner saying they will sell only at a silly number. The guide to Limiteds listed for billions explains how to read those, and the projected items guide covers the opposite trap, where a few inflated sales drag RAP upward and make an item look more valuable than it is. On any item with under 1,000 copies, read the ask ladder, the stack of live listings sorted cheapest first, and treat that as the price.
Are Roblox cat Limiteds worth buying in 2026?
Start with what a flip costs. Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee on a classic Limited resale, so a seller keeps 70% of the sale price. Buy Ivory Lion at its current 5,029 R$ floor and you need to sell near 7,185 R$ to get your Robux back, about 1.43x your entry. Buying a classic Limited from a reseller also starts a seven-day holding period, a window where the item stays locked in your inventory and cannot be listed again.
The middle of this family is where the honest opportunity sits. Tiger Tussle at 501 copies and Zombie Cat at 963 are genuinely scarce items with prices in the tens of thousands of Robux, low enough that a normal trader can own one. Kitty Monster and Ivory Lion are under 7,000 R$ with fewer than 1,200 copies each, which is unusual value for supply that small. Cat items also carry a built-in audience, since plenty of players want an animal on their avatar and do not care about serials at all.
Bastet is a different question. At the level its owners want, you are buying a one-of-a-kind story and accepting that your next buyer might take a year to appear. The high-copy end has the opposite problem: a 308 R$ Tiger Egg with 253,645 copies is fun to own and will not move much.
Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, which covers every item in this article, and trading needs an active Roblox Plus subscription on both accounts. If you want to catch one of these listed under its usual floor, the Deals feed tracks below-market listings live, though you need to be signed in to use it, and the items leaderboard shows where the wider classic market is heading.
None of this is financial advice, and Limited prices fall as easily as they rise.
Copy counts, RAP and lowest asks come from the RBX Invest catalog and Roblox's live item data as of September 12, 2026; upload dates, original Robux prices and item descriptions are from Roblox's own catalog entries, the resale rule that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable is from Roblox's marketplace documentation at create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace, and sale dates, stock figures and Tix prices are community-documented Roblox history.
FAQ
How many cat Limiteds are there in Roblox?
Nineteen. Roblox has published 19 classic Limiteds that are cats, counting lions and tigers alongside house cats, spread from August 2009 to July 2022. They include hats, gear pets, shoulder accessories, one scarf and one sword.
What is the rarest Roblox cat item?
Bastet: The Cat Goddess, with 78 copies in circulation as of September 2026. It was sold as a Limited U with a run of 100 copies at 900 Robux, and 22 copies have since left circulation. When Animals Attack: Tiger Tussle is the next scarcest at 501 copies.
How much is Bastet: The Cat Goddess worth?
Its RAP was 159,335 R$ on September 12, 2026, and the cheapest listing was 5,377,555 R$. Nobody has paid the listed price, so treat the RAP as a floor for what the hat is worth and expect any real sale to land well above it. Items this thin trade rarely enough that RAP lags what traders would actually pay.
Why are there two Business Cat items on Roblox?
Roblox published a Business Cat shoulder pet on July 3, 2013 and a separate Business Cat hat on November 27, 2013. The shoulder pet sold openly until it went Limited in July 2022 with 647,025 copies, while the hat was capped at 2,002 copies from the start. The hat's RAP is over eleven times the shoulder pet's.
What is From the Vault: Kawaii Cat?
A Limited gear pet Roblox released on September 4, 2015 at 250 Robux, one of five animal pets modeled on former Roblox interns. The white cat follows you and responds to commands, and typing a hidden word in chat makes it grow and change color. It has 4,032 copies and the highest floor of any cat gear item at 87,862 R$.
Can you trade Roblox cat Limiteds?
Yes. Every item in this article was created by Roblox, and Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable. Both accounts in a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription. Cat items published by community creators are UGC Limiteds, which can be resold but never traded.
What is the cheapest Roblox cat Limited?
Tiger Egg, at a 308 R$ floor as of September 12, 2026. It was a free prize from Roblox's 2013 Egg Hunt and 253,645 copies exist, which keeps the price near the bottom of the classic market. Shoulder Shark Cat is next at 708 R$.
Are Roblox cat Limiteds a good investment?
They are a low-cost corner of the classic market with a few genuinely scarce items in the middle, such as Tiger Tussle at 501 copies and Zombie Cat at 963. The 30% marketplace fee on classic Limited resales means you need roughly a 1.43x move to break even on a flip, so short holds rarely work. Nothing here is financial advice.
