Does Roblox Still Make Classic Limiteds?

Yes. Roblox still makes classic Limiteds, but its last brand-new paid drop was October 2025, and only 8 of 35 recent drops beat the resale fee.

Yes, Roblox still makes classic Limiteds, and the Roblox Wiki's 2026 timeline lists 14 items picking up Limited status this year. A Limited is an item with a fixed number of copies that players resell to each other after Roblox stops selling it, and a classic Limited is one Roblox made itself. The catch is where those 2026 Limiteds came from: every one of them was existing stock, meaning an item players already owned that Roblox switched to Limited later. Roblox's last brand-new paid drop, an item sold with a fixed run from day one, went on sale in October 2025.

Quick answer: Roblox still makes its own Limiteds, but it hasn't put a brand-new paid one on sale since the October 2025 Halloween batch. Everything since has been an older gift-card item, Robux-purchase bonus, or 2000s catalog hat converted to Limited. Of the 35 paid Roblox drops released since January 2024, only 8 would have made you Robux if you had bought at launch and resold today.

Does Roblox still make its own Limiteds? Yes, but the last new one launched in October 2025

Helsworn Valkyrie

Roblox's most recent original Limited run was a Halloween batch published on October 21, 2025. Five items, priced from 400 R$ to 12,500 R$, each with a set number of copies. The Roblox Wiki's 2025 limited items timeline dates four of the five going Limited, the point their stock ran out and resale opened, between October 25 and November 1, 2025.

That batch looks like this today. RAP is Recent Average Price, a smoothed average of an item's whole sale history, and the floor is the cheapest copy a reseller currently has listed.

Item Launch price Copies RAP today Lowest ask
Helsworn Valkyrie 12,500 R$ 13,811 14,459 R$ 15,000 R$
Specter Time Fedora 3,000 R$ 10,078 2,153 R$ 2,000 R$
The Requiem 400 R$ 27,110 1,343 R$ 1,200 R$
Entombed Miner's Headlamp 1,195 R$ 7,252 1,126 R$ 1,234 R$
Bandana From Beyond 700 R$ 19,980 606 R$ 665 R$

The Helsworn Valkyrie was the headline piece, and it belongs to one of the platform's best-known hat lines, which you can browse on the Valkyrie collection page. Eleven months later it trades about 16% above its launch price. The 400 R$ Requiem did better in percentage terms than anything else in the batch.

Where did 2026's Roblox Limiteds come from? Gift cards, Robux bonuses and 2000s hats

Roblox made Limiteds all year in 2026, just by a different route. It took items that already existed in players' inventories and flipped them to Limited status, which freezes the copy count and turns on resale. The Roblox Wiki's 2026 timeline lists 14 of these between March and August.

Item Where the copies came from Copies RAP today Lowest ask Went Limited
Blue Inferno Skull Gift card code, Oct 2024 24,601 26,187 R$ 25,900 R$ Aug 28, 2026
8-Bit Clockwork Shades Catalog item, 2016 3,361 16,971 R$ 17,500 R$ May 23, 2026
Bunny Ears Catalog item, 2007 56,574 13,971 R$ 14,000 R$ Mar 28, 2026
Clockwork's Golden Shades Robux purchase bonus, Nov 2024 73,124 8,444 R$ 8,288 R$ Mar 20, 2026
Pinstripe Fedora Catalog item, 2009 63,541 5,915 R$ 6,000 R$ Mar 24, 2026
Lord of the Buxeration Robux purchase bonus, Mar 2026 107,689 4,099 R$ 4,300 R$ Aug 13, 2026

Promo stock did a lot of the work here. Three of the 14 were gift-card exclusives, including the Blue Inferno Skull, which came from Roblox cards sold at 7-Eleven stores in Japan and Hong Kong in October 2024. Two more, Clockwork's Golden Shades and Lord of the Buxeration, went to players who spent 10,000 Robux during a set window. The gift card items guide covers how those end up as tradeable Limiteds.

The rest were plain catalog hats from Roblox's first years. They had all been offsale (pulled from sale by Roblox) for well over a decade before it froze their copy counts. Bunny Ears dates to August 2007 and now has 56,574 copies. The mechanics behind that switch, and how to spot candidates early, are in our guide on offsale items going Limited. Both of this year's fedora conversions sit in the fedora collection, and the shades flips join the rest of the Clockwork line.

Are new Roblox Limiteds worth buying at launch? Half trade below their launch price

RBX Invest tracks 35 paid Roblox-made Limiteds published since January 2024 that have copies and a RAP. The median one trades at 0.94 times what Roblox charged for it. Seventeen of the 35 trade above their launch price.

Clearing your cost is only half the bar. Roblox takes 30% of every classic Limited resale and you keep 70%, so to get your Robux back after the fee an item has to reach roughly 1.43 times what you paid. Eight of the 35 have managed that.

Two rules shape what you can do with a drop after you buy it. Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so every item on this page can go through the player-to-player Trade system, with an active Roblox Plus subscription required on both sides. The same documentation says a Limited you have just bought carries up to a 30-day holding period before you can resell it, so a launch-day flip is off the table by design.

The launch price sorts them cleanly:

Launch price Drops Median RAP vs launch price Cleared the 1.43x break-even
Under 1,000 R$ 10 1.40x 5
1,000 to 4,999 R$ 14 0.83x 1
5,000 R$ and up 11 0.62x 2
All paid drops since 2024 35 0.94x 8

Cheap drops win and expensive drops lose. A 40,000 R$ price tag looks like a serious collector's item, and the record says a 200 R$ hat was the better buy.

Which recent Roblox Limiteds actually made money? Eight of 35

Daemonshank

These eight paid drops since January 2024 have passed the 1.43x mark, so buying at launch and reselling today would have left you ahead after the fee.

Item Launch price Copies RAP today Lowest ask RAP vs launch
Daemonshank 39,999 R$ 958 164,240 R$ 148,000 R$ 4.1x
The Requiem 400 R$ 27,110 1,343 R$ 1,200 R$ 3.4x
Sk14r 200 R$ 27,288 590 R$ 599 R$ 3.0x
Winter Lodge Snowglobe 300 R$ 4,059 841 R$ 986 R$ 2.8x
Signature Kicks 300 R$ 7,904 657 R$ 712 R$ 2.2x
Vault Swordpack 36,000 R$ 323 63,829 R$ 68,499 R$ 1.8x
Frosty Fedora 2,500 R$ 12,297 4,299 R$ 4,300 R$ 1.7x
Ember Guardia 500 R$ 23,799 745 R$ 819 R$ 1.5x

Daemonshank is the standout of the modern era and sits comfortably in gem territory, the small group of Limiteds that trade in six figures. Roblox sold it for 39,999 R$ in May 2024 and stopped at 958 copies. Trader consensus values it a little under its RAP, so treat the 4.1x as the optimistic read and the 148,000 R$ floor as the realistic one. You can see where it ranks against everything else on the items leaderboard and the most expensive Limiteds collection.

Five of the eight winners launched at 500 R$ or less. Of the seven drops Roblox priced above 10,000 R$, two cleared break-even.

Why do cheap Roblox drops beat the expensive ones?

Look at what went wrong at the top end:

Item Launch price Copies RAP today Lowest ask RAP vs launch
Vault Commando 40,000 R$ 1,849 9,571 R$ 8,699 R$ 0.24x
Petrolume Swordpack 4,000 R$ 4,453 1,176 R$ 1,180 R$ 0.29x
Sparkle Time Heggphones 5,000 R$ 2,971 2,036 R$ 2,300 R$ 0.41x
Snowflake Eyes 12,500 R$ 10,626 5,990 R$ 6,200 R$ 0.48x
Vault Glider Wings 17,000 R$ 949 8,612 R$ 9,300 R$ 0.51x
Halloween Knightmare 9,999 R$ 1,749 5,720 R$ 6,590 R$ 0.57x

Three things explain most of this.

A 40,000 R$ hat prices out almost everyone. The pool of players who can pay that is thin, so when some of the few hundred owners want out, their asks stack up against a handful of buyers. Vault Commando sold 1,849 copies at 40,000 R$ and now sits under 10,000 R$. Its sibling the Vault Swordpack stopped at 323 copies and held. The copy count mattered more than the price tag.

Cheap drops attract volume buyers. When an item costs 200 R$, thousands of players grab several, then thousands more who missed it want one later. Sk14r went out at 200 R$ with 27,288 copies and still nearly tripled.

Item type matters too. Snowflake Eyes is a face, and face Limiteds across the board fell hard after Roblox migrated 2D faces to animated versions. We tracked that whole slide in why Roblox face Limiteds lost value. Traders currently pay a bit more than its RAP suggests, but it's still half of what Roblox charged.

How should you approach the next Roblox drop?

Three things are worth doing before you spend anything.

Check the copy count before you judge the price. A 15,000 R$ item with 500 copies and a 15,000 R$ item with 15,000 copies are different products, and every item page here shows the count.

Do the fee math first. Multiply what you're about to pay by 1.43. If you can't picture anyone paying that much for the item in a year, then you're buying it to wear, and that's a perfectly good reason to buy something.

Watch the resale floor during the first few weeks. RAP moves slowly by design, so a fresh drop's RAP still reflects launch-day sales long after the floor has cracked. Our Deals feed surfaces copies listed under RAP as they appear, and you'll need to be signed in with your Roblox account to open it.

None of this is financial advice. Limited prices move on demand that can vanish, and several of the items above lost more than half their launch price within two years.

Figures come from RBX Invest catalog data as of September 18, 2026, cross-checked against Roblox's own item details, with fee and resale rules from Roblox's marketplace documentation and dates from the Roblox Wiki's limited items timelines.

FAQ

Does Roblox still make Limiteds?

Yes. Roblox made 14 Limiteds in 2026 through August, all of them created by converting items players already owned into Limiteds with a frozen copy count. Roblox also still makes brand-new limited-run drops, though the most recent of those went on sale in October 2025.

When was the last brand-new Roblox Limited?

October 21, 2025, when Roblox published a five-item Halloween batch: the Helsworn Valkyrie at 12,500 R$, Specter Time Fedora at 3,000 R$, Entombed Miner's Headlamp at 1,195 R$, Bandana From Beyond at 700 R$, and The Requiem at 400 R$. Four of the five went Limited between October 25 and November 1, 2025 as their stock ran out.

Why do old Roblox items suddenly become Limited?

Roblox takes an item that's been offsale for years, freezes the number of copies in existence, and switches on resale. Nobody new can get a copy, so the existing ones start trading. The 2007 Bunny Ears became Limited in March 2026 this way, with 56,574 copies locked in.

Are new Roblox Limiteds a good investment?

Most of them haven't been. Of the 35 paid Roblox drops since January 2024, the median one trades at 0.94 times its launch price, and only 8 are worth enough to have profited after Roblox's 30% resale fee. The cheap drops did far better than the expensive ones.

How much does a Roblox Limited have to rise before you make a profit?

About 43%. Roblox keeps 30% of every classic Limited resale and you receive 70%, so an item bought at 1,000 R$ has to sell for roughly 1,430 R$ before you break even. Anything below that loses Robux even though the price went up.

Can you trade the new Roblox Limiteds?

Yes. Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, and every item in this article is published under the Roblox account, so all of them can go through the Trade system. Both accounts in a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription. Community-made UGC Limiteds can only be bought and sold.

How soon can you resell a Limited after buying it?

Not immediately. Roblox's marketplace documentation says a Limited carries up to a 30-day holding period after purchase, during which it can't be resold. The exact wait depends on the item and how you got it, and we break the rules down in the holding periods guide.
