Forgotten Roblox Limiteds: Rare Hats Nobody Trades

Forgotten Roblox Limiteds are rare classic hats with six-figure RAPs and almost no sales. See 10 items, their copy counts, RAP and live asking prices.

Roblox has classic Limiteds that look expensive on paper and almost never change hands. The Cultural Item, a hat Roblox listed for 300 Robux in August 2009, has 60 copies in existence, a RAP of 243,029 Robux, and a cheapest listing asking 3,000,000. RBX Invest tracks 6,102 Limiteds that Roblox created itself, and 360 of them carry a RAP of 100,000 Robux or more. Plenty of those are hats nobody talks about, priced by a few holders who almost never sell.

Quick answer: Forgotten Roblox Limiteds are old Roblox-made collectibles with tiny copy counts, six-figure RAPs and so few sales that their prices sit years out of date. RAP (recent average price) moves only when a copy sells, so on an item that trades once a year it is a reading from the past, while the asking prices holders post can sit many times above it.

The table is ordered by consensus street value, the rough figure experienced traders agree an item is worth in a swap. Read the RAP column next to it and you can see how far apart the two get. All ten items together add up to 1,670 copies.

What makes a Roblox Limited "forgotten"? Few copies and almost no sales

A Limited is an item with a fixed number of copies that players can resell to each other on Roblox. Two labels show up on the old ones. Plain Limited means Roblox sold it normally and then capped it, so the copy count is whatever people happened to buy. Limited U (Limited Unique) means Roblox set the stock up front and each copy got a serial number, the little "#14 of 100" tag on your inventory copy.

Forgotten Limiteds are the ones where the copy count is small and the trading has stopped. RBX Invest counts 154 Roblox-made Limiteds with fewer than 100 copies, and most of them sit in inventories that never move. You can watch this on any of the item pages linked above: one or two listings, no listings at all, and a RAP that has not budged in a long time.

Three things follow from that, and they matter more than the headline number:

  • The lowest ask, meaning the cheapest copy currently listed, is set by whoever is least interested in selling. The full list of listed copies, cheapest first, is the resale ladder. On Magnaspectro Inspectors that ask is 5,000,000 Robux against a RAP of 403,338.
  • RAP lags badly. The formula adds one tenth of the gap between the newest sale and the old RAP, so a single sale barely moves it, and no sales leave it frozen.
  • Nobody is obliged to sell you one. The Bull Moose Vengeance has 78 copies and, as of September 27, 2026, zero resale listings.

Why do old Roblox hats have six-figure RAPs? 2009 prices met a small audience

Soviet Ushanka

Look at the original prices. The Cultural Item cost 300 Robux. The Soviet Ushanka and Tattletale cost 500. The Dread Visage of xMaximusx cost 1,000. Those were real prices for 2009 and 2010, when far fewer players were buying hats at all, and that is the whole reason the copy counts are so small. The Roblox Wiki records the Cultural Item selling only about 55 copies before Roblox switched it to Limited in April 2011. The players of 2009 set that copy count by ignoring the hat, and it was fixed for good by the time anyone cared.

Then the audience grew by a factor no 2009 collector planned for, and the supply stayed frozen. The Soviet Ushanka shows what happens when attention arrives late: 486 copies exist, and our catalog counts 111,479 favorites on it, about 230 favorites for every copy ever made. A favorite costs nothing, so treat that ratio as a measure of interest, and it goes some way to explaining where the few listings sit.

Which forgotten Limiteds have the best stories? Six worth knowing

Cultural Item: 60 copies of a hat nobody wanted

Cultural Item

Roblox listed this one on August 13, 2009 with the description "It's... you know... an item. People love items!!!" and a 300 Robux price tag. The Roblox Wiki describes the shape as a mianguan, the flat-topped crown worn by East Asian emperors. Per the Roblox Wiki it sat in the catalog for almost two years and went Limited on April 8, 2011, with 60 copies, which is where it stands today. A joke listing became one of the scarcest hats Roblox has ever made.

Chair Racing Intern: 49 copies from a 2010 contest

Chair Racing Intern

This is the smallest copy count on the list. Per the Roblox Wiki it went to players who scored high enough in the Honor the ROBLOX Interns contest in August 2010. Its RAP is 181,454 Robux and the cheapest listing asks 3,000,000. No amount of Robux bought one at the time, so copies reached the market only when winners chose to sell.

The Bull Moose Vengeance: 78 copies and nothing for sale

The Bull Moose Vengeance

A moose cap with red eyes, sold in September 2010 at a price of 2,012 Robux with a description joking about the 2012 election, and it is the one item here you cannot buy at any price today. Roblox reports 78 copies and no resale listing. Its RAP of 197,646 Robux is a memory of old sales, and an empty ladder means the market has no live price for it at all.

The Dread Visage of xMaximusx: 73 copies named after an intern

The Dread Visage of xMaximusx

Roblox published this face accessory in August 2009 for 1,000 Robux, pulled it off sale about ten days later, and made it Limited in September 2010. The name comes from a summer intern, and the item description says what they worked on. Seventy-three copies survive, the RAP is 211,441 Robux, and the cheapest listing asks 1,049,999.

Magnaspectro Inspectors: 68 copies and the highest RAP of the tiny ones

Magnaspectro Inspectors

A pair of spectacles from November 2010, sold at 500 Robux, and Limited from March 2011 according to the Roblox Wiki's timeline of Limited conversions. The Roblox Wiki puts pre-Limited sales at 66 copies; our catalog and Roblox both count 68 today. At 403,338 Robux it carries the highest RAP of every item here with under 100 copies, and its 5,000,000 ask is the second boldest on the list.

Enthroned Ruler of the Universe: a 5,000 Robux hat with an 87 million ask

Enthroned Ruler of the Universe

Ninety-six copies of a Limited U crown from May 2010, original price 5,000 Robux, described as "Weightless is the head that wears the crown." The lowest resale listing sits at 87,327,260 Robux against a RAP of 181,317. That gap is what traders call a projected item: a listing priced so far above any real sale that it exists to be looked at. Our guide to projected items covers how to spot them and why the top of a ladder tells you so little.

Why is Tattletale's RAP above what traders pay? The face migration

Tattletale

Tattletale is the exception on this list. It has the highest RAP of the ten at 486,592 Robux, and among traders it ranks near the bottom of the group. The reason is January 2026, when Roblox announced it would replace classic 2D face Limiteds with animated dynamic heads one for one, keeping serials and resale intact. Tattletale was converted in March 2026. Face values fell hard over the following months, and a RAP built from years of older, higher sales follows very slowly. Our breakdown of the decline in face Limited values has the fuller picture.

The current ask is 676,767 Robux across 466 copies. On a thin market, one holder with an optimistic price becomes the whole visible market.

Where RAP and street prices disagree on these items

Rank the ten by RAP and you get one order. Rank them by what traders actually pay and you get another. Tattletale leads on RAP and trails on consensus. The Cultural Item sits fourth on RAP and first on consensus. Crimson Destiny Turban carries a 222,744 RAP and the lowest consensus of the group, despite a 1,400,000 Robux ask sitting on it; the Roblox Wiki records a 2022 remodel that changed the hat's look, and it started life as a retexture, meaning a recolor of an existing hat, in this case a common purple turban.

The rule that comes out of this: on any item with a handful of copies and no recent sales, treat RAP as history and the lowest ask as one person's opinion. Our guide on why a Limited's price can sit far above its RAP goes through the mechanics, and what RAP actually measures covers the formula in full.

How do you buy a forgotten Limited without overpaying?

You are negotiating with a collector, so patience beats a big wallet. Three things help.

Watch the item page over weeks. Every item above has a live page on RBX Invest with its RAP, copy count and current listings, and thin items move in steps: a listing disappears, a new one appears at a different price, and the only person who notices is whoever was watching. The Deals feed, which needs a signed-in account, surfaces listings that fall under RAP across the catalog.

Do the exit math first. Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee on a classic Limited resale, so a seller keeps 70% of the price. Buy a copy at 300,000 Robux and resell it at 400,000 and you receive 280,000, which is a loss. You need roughly 1.43 times your purchase price just to break even, and on an item that sells once a year you may wait a long time to get it. A resale purchase also locks the copy for seven days before you can list it again, and our holding periods guide lists every lock.

Use trades where they help. These are all Roblox-created Limiteds, so they are tradeable, which needs an active Roblox Plus subscription on both sides. A holder who will not sell for Robux will sometimes swap for an item they want more, and that is often the only realistic route to a 49-copy contest hat.

Nothing here is financial advice. Old Limiteds with no buyers can stay that way for years, and a six-figure RAP is not money in your pocket until somebody pays it.

FAQ

What does RAP mean on a Roblox Limited?

RAP stands for recent average price, a smoothed average of an item's sale history. Each sale moves it by one tenth of the gap between that sale price and the old RAP, so it updates only when a copy changes hands. On items with a few dozen copies and no recent sales, RAP can be years out of date.

Why is the lowest ask so much higher than RAP on rare Limiteds?

Because the cheapest listing on a thin market is set by an owner who does not really want to sell. The Enthroned Ruler of the Universe has a RAP of 181,317 Robux and a lowest listing of 87,327,260 Robux, a price no sale has ever come close to. Listings like that are called projected.

Which forgotten Roblox Limited has the fewest copies?

Chair Racing Intern, with 49 copies. It was a prize from the Honor the ROBLOX Interns contest in August 2010 rather than a catalog purchase, so no amount of Robux could get you one at the time.

Can you still buy The Bull Moose Vengeance?

Not right now. Roblox reports 78 copies in existence and no resale listing, so there is nothing to buy until a holder lists one. Its RAP of 197,646 Robux reflects past sales only.

Do forgotten Limiteds go up in value over time?

Some have and some have not, and scarcity alone does not carry an item. Tattletale has 466 copies and a 486,592 Robux RAP that traders now price below, while the 60-copy Cultural Item is valued well above its RAP. Copy count sets the ceiling, and demand decides whether anyone reaches for it.

Why did Tattletale lose value?

Because it is a face. Roblox announced in January 2026 that classic 2D face Limiteds would be replaced one for one with animated dynamic heads, and Tattletale was converted in March 2026. Face Limited values fell sharply through the months that followed, while RAP came down more slowly.

How many classic Roblox Limiteds have six-figure RAPs?

360 of the 6,102 Roblox-created Limiteds in the RBX Invest catalog carry a RAP of 100,000 Robux or more, as of September 27, 2026. Of all Roblox-made Limiteds, 154 have fewer than 100 copies.

Do you need Roblox Plus to buy one of these?

No. Buying a resale copy works on any account. You need an active Roblox Plus subscription to sell a Limited or to trade one, and trading requires it on both sides of the deal.
