Roughly two in three classic Roblox Limiteds sell in any given month. Of the 2,935 classic Limiteds in the RBX Invest catalog on September 14, 2026, 1,871 recorded at least one sale in the previous 30 days, and 669 recorded one in the previous 24 hours. A Limited is an item with a fixed number of copies that players buy and sell to each other, and a classic Limited is one Roblox made itself. Selling gets much rarer as the price climbs: of the 75 classic Limiteds with a RAP above 1,000,000 Robux, only 15 sold a copy in those 30 days. RAP, short for Recent Average Price, is Roblox's smoothed average of an item's past sale prices.
Quick answer: 64% of classic Roblox Limiteds sold at least one copy in the 30 days to September 14, 2026, and 27% went a full 90 days with no sale at all. Cheap Limiteds sell every day, and the most expensive ones can go months between sales.

How many Roblox Limiteds sell in a month? 1,871 of 2,935 classic items
How easily you can turn an item back into Robux is what traders call liquidity. It matters more than most people starting out expect. An item is only worth what you can actually get for it on the day you want out, and on a slow item that day can be months away.
Across the classic catalog, 142,748 copies changed hands in the 30 days to September 14, 2026. That sounds like a busy market until you see where the trades are. The 10 busiest items alone accounted for 34% of every classic sale in the period. The other 2,925 items split the rest, and 799 of them recorded nothing at all over three months.

Which Roblox Limiteds sell most often? Cheap ones with millions of copies
The busiest Limiteds on Roblox are the cheap giveaway items with enormous supply. Copies here means the total number ever minted, and a big number means there's almost always someone willing to sell.
| Item | Copies | RAP | Copies sold, last 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000,000 | 105 R$ | 18,061 | |
| 1,203,707 | 3,593 R$ | 6,966 | |
| 1,246,054 | 2,220 R$ | 5,355 | |
| 1,591,273 | 848 R$ | 4,409 | |
| 107,688 | 4,022 R$ | 3,979 | |
| 251,515 | 27,264 R$ | 2,583 | |
| 4,395,926 | 274 R$ | 2,357 | |
| 6,467,906 | 300 R$ | 1,875 |
The 8-Bit Royal Crown stands out. It holds a RAP of 27,264 Robux and still moved 2,583 copies in a month, which is rare at that price. It has 251,515 copies behind it, so there is always stock on the reseller list and always a buyer near the floor.
The pattern across the whole table is supply. Six of the eight have more than a million copies. When an item is that common, someone is always listing and someone is always buying, and the price barely moves in either direction. That's a comfortable place to learn, and a hard place to make money.
Does price change how often a Limited sells? Yes, sharply
The table below covers every classic Limited with a RAP on record, split into price bands. The pattern is one of the most useful things a new trader can learn.
| RAP band | Classic Limiteds | Sold in 30 days | Sold in 90 days | Median copies sold in 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 R$ | 287 | 94% | 94% | 50 |
| 1,000 to 9,999 R$ | 1,074 | 93% | 99% | 7 |
| 10,000 to 99,999 R$ | 820 | 61% | 81% | 1 |
| 100,000 to 999,999 R$ | 288 | 30% | 41% | 0 |
| 1,000,000 R$ and up | 75 | 20% | 27% | 0 |
Read the median column first. The typical Limited under 1,000 Robux sold 50 copies in a month. The typical one between 10,000 and 100,000 sold exactly one. Above 100,000, the typical item sold none.
Two things drive that. Expensive items have tiny supply, often under a few hundred copies, so there are fewer owners who could sell even if they wanted to. And the buyer pool shrinks fast, because far fewer players have a million Robux than have a thousand.
Do Roblox's most expensive Limiteds trade? Most went 90 days without a sale
Of the 75 classic Limiteds with a RAP over 1,000,000 Robux, 55 recorded no sale in 90 days. These are what collectors call gems: scarce, expensive, and held by people in no hurry. The six below are the ones traders value most highly among that silent group, ordered by consensus street value.
| Item | Copies | RAP | Sales in 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23 | 13,577,229 R$ | 0 | |
| 10 | 1,277,922 R$ | 0 | |
| 27 | 28,059,680 R$ | 0 | |
| 27 | 1,973,087 R$ | 0 | |
| 26 | 14,321,557 R$ | 0 | |
| 99 | 4,871,499 R$ | 0 |
Look at how far the RAP column drifts from that order. Dominus Frigidus carries the highest RAP of any classic Limited at over 28 million Robux and sits third. Lord of the Federation, with 10 copies and a RAP of 1.28 million, sits second, and Dominus Infernus is fourth on a RAP under 2 million. By RAP alone you would put all three near the bottom of this table.
That gap opens because RAP updates only when a sale happens, and on a 10-copy item with no sales in three months, the printed number is a memory of a trade that could be years old. When an item barely sells, RAP stops tracking what someone would have to pay to get one. Our RAP explainer walks through the formula and where it breaks down. You can browse these families live on the Dominus collection and the Sparkle Time collection, and the wider tier on most expensive Limiteds and rarest Limiteds.
Which pricey Limiteds still move? The ones with thousands of copies
Twenty of those 75 million-Robux items did sell inside 90 days, and the busiest four share a trait: supply in the thousands rather than the dozens.
| Item | Copies | RAP | Sold in 30 days | Sold in 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3,180 | 1,450,358 R$ | 18 | 55 | |
| 2,419 | 2,058,821 R$ | 11 | 34 | |
| 1,922 | 2,285,495 R$ | 8 | 19 | |
| 1,037 | 1,468,413 R$ | 7 | 18 |
The three Horns are the clearest example on the platform of expensive and liquid at the same time, and you can track the whole family on the horns collection. At 18 sales a month, Poisoned Horns trades roughly every other day. If you own one and need Robux, you can price near the resale floor, meaning the cheapest copy currently listed, and expect to be out within days. Owning a Dominus Empyreus is a different situation: the item may be worth far more, and finding the buyer is its own project.
That difference is worth real money when you plan a purchase. Ask yourself how fast you'd need to sell if you changed your mind.
Do UGC Limiteds sell as often as classic ones? No, 18% against 64%
UGC Limiteds are community-made items sold in fixed quantities, and they behave very differently. Of the 178,612 UGC Limiteds we track, 32,329 sold at least one copy in the last 30 days, which is 18%. Over a full 90 days, 68% of them recorded no sale at all.
The reason is the sheer number of them. There are 60 times more UGC Limiteds than classic ones, most made by creators nobody follows, and buyers cluster around a small handful of popular releases. Volume is real where it exists: 1,285,291 UGC copies changed hands in those same 30 days, nine times the classic figure, concentrated in a thin slice of the catalog.
Two rules make the gap bigger. UGC Limiteds can't be traded at all, because Roblox's Trade system covers classic Limiteds only, so resale is the only exit. And a UGC resale pays the reseller 50% of the sale price, with 10% to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate and 30% to Roblox, per Roblox's marketplace fee documentation. You need to sell for double what you paid just to break even. A classic Limited resale keeps you 70% after Roblox's 30% marketplace fee, so break-even is about 1.43 times your cost. Our classic versus UGC breakdown covers the rest of the differences.
How do you check whether a Limited sells before you buy it?
Four checks, in order of how much they tell you.
- Sales volume over the last 30 days. Every item page on RBX Invest shows recent sale activity. One sale a month means one buyer a month.
- Copies in existence. Under a few hundred copies, expect long gaps between trades no matter how famous the item is.
- The reseller list. Look at how many copies are listed and how far apart the asking prices are. A thin list with big gaps means the next sale sets the price. The reseller terminal shows where every copy sits.
- RAP against the lowest ask. A RAP far above the cheapest listed copy usually means the RAP is stale or the item is projected, which is when a few inflated sales drag the average above what anyone will really pay. See projected items explained.
Time is part of the cost too. After you buy a classic Limited from a reseller, it's locked in your inventory for 7 days before you can resell it, and 2 days after you receive one in a trade. Those are the holding periods, and on a slow item they're the smallest part of the wait. The holding periods guide has the full set of rules.
If you'd rather have the market watch itself, the Deals feed flags listings below an item's usual level as they appear, and it needs a signed-in account.
None of this is financial advice. Liquidity today doesn't promise liquidity next year, and an item that trades every day can go quiet after one bad month for the market.
How should liquidity change what you buy?
Match the item to your plan. If you're building toward something and may need to unwind fast, stay in the bands that actually trade: under 10,000 Robux, where more than nine in ten items sold this month. If you're buying a gem to hold for years, accept that the exit takes patience and price it into what you pay. The mistake that costs beginners the most is paying a gem price for something they expected to flip in a week. If your own item has gone quiet, our guide on why a Roblox Limited isn't selling covers what to change.

FAQ
How often do Roblox Limiteds sell?
Most classic Roblox Limiteds sell at least once a month. In the 30 days to September 14, 2026, 1,871 of 2,935 classic Limiteds recorded a sale, which is 64%, and 669 sold a copy in the final 24 hours of that window. UGC Limiteds are far quieter, with 18% selling in the same period.
Why don't expensive Roblox Limiteds sell very often?
Expensive Limiteds have small supply and small buyer pools. Of the 75 classic Limiteds with a RAP above 1,000,000 Robux, 67 have fewer than 500 copies in existence, and the median is 100 copies. Owners at that level tend to hold for years, and 55 of the 75 recorded no sale in 90 days.
What does liquidity mean in Roblox trading?
Liquidity is how quickly you can turn an item back into Robux at a fair price. A Limited selling 50 copies a month is liquid, because there's always a buyer near the asking price. One selling once a year is illiquid, and the price you'd accept in a hurry may be well below its RAP.
Which Roblox Limited sells the most copies?
The Glossy Red Baseball Cap sold 18,061 copies in the 30 days to September 14, 2026, more than any other classic Limited. It has 10,000,000 copies in existence and a RAP of 105 Robux, so there's constant supply and constant demand at a price almost anyone can afford.
Does a high RAP mean a Roblox Limited is easy to sell?
No. RAP only measures what past sales went for, and says nothing about how many buyers are waiting today. Dominus Frigidus holds the highest RAP of any classic Limited at over 28 million Robux and recorded zero sales in 90 days, while items priced under 1,000 Robux sold dozens of copies each in a month.
Do UGC Limiteds sell as often as classic Limiteds?
No. In the 30 days to September 14, 2026, 18% of the 178,612 UGC Limiteds we track sold at least one copy, against 64% of classic Limiteds. UGC Limiteds also can't be traded, since Roblox's Trade system covers classic Limiteds only, so resale is the only way out of one.
How can I check whether a Limited is selling before I buy it?
Look at the item's sales over the last 30 days, its total copies, and its reseller list. Low sales with few copies listed means a long wait to sell. The items leaderboard ranks the catalog by activity, and each item page shows recent sales and the current lowest ask.
How long before I can resell a Limited I just bought?
A classic Limited bought from a reseller is held for 7 days before you can list it again, and one received in a trade is held for 2 days. UGC Limiteds bought from the creator at launch hold for up to 30 days, and ones bought on the resale market hold for up to 7.
