Roblox's mask Limiteds are a family of 23 Roblox-made hats and face accessories, released between December 2007 and March 2025, that still have a live resale market. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling at a fixed price, so the only way to get one now is to buy a copy from another player or trade for it. Masks are one of the cheapest classic families to collect: 18 of the 23 carry a RAP under 10,000 Robux, and several sell for less than 1,000. The family's one gem, meaning a scarce Limited that serious collectors chase, is the Mighty Mask of Zeus, which has 44 copies in existence and a RAP of 95,617 Robux on RBX Invest catalog data from September 2026.
Quick answer: The Mighty Mask of Zeus leads every Roblox mask Limited with 44 copies and a RAP of 95,617 Robux. The Catrina Dia de Muertos Mask sits at the bottom with 3,393,765 copies and a RAP of 278 Robux. Copy count explains almost the whole spread.
RAP stands for recent average price. Roblox recalculates it after every sale, nudging the old number a tenth of the way toward the price that just traded, so it tracks what copies have actually been selling for. What sellers are asking today is a separate number, and on scarce items the two drift a long way apart.
Every Roblox mask Limited, ranked: Zeus first, Dia de Muertos last
Every mask below was made by Roblox itself, which makes all of them classic Limiteds and all of them tradeable. Copies is the number of copies Roblox currently reports in existence. Lowest ask is the cheapest copy listed for sale right now, which is the price you would actually pay.

Why is the Mighty Mask of Zeus the most valuable mask? 44 copies
The Mighty Mask of Zeus went on sale on July 30, 2009 at 4,001 Robux. That was a punishing price for the era, when the paid 2009 masks in this family launched between 35 and 95 Robux. Hardly anyone bought one. Roblox reports 44 copies today, and that scarcity is the entire story: the next-rarest mask in the family has 164 copies, and the median mask has more than 2,000.
Its RAP of 95,617 Robux understates what a copy costs. The cheapest listed copy right now sits at 3,500,000 Robux. That gap opens up on any item with a float this thin, float meaning the number of copies actually available to trade. RAP only moves when a sale happens, and a 44-copy item can go months without one, so the average sits on a stale sale price while owners quietly raise their asks. Trader consensus on the Zeus mask runs far above its RAP, closer to that ask than to the 95,617 figure.
A single lowest ask is one owner's opinion. With 44 copies and few sellers, the person setting the floor has a lot of control over the number you see. If you want a sanity check before you spend, compare the ask against the item's own sale history on its item page and against how the rest of the rarest Limiteds are priced.
How did masks get into the catalog? Gifts, events and a video contest
Several of the oldest masks never carried a normal Robux price, which is why their copy counts run high while their prices stay low.
The Hockey Mask came out of the Spooky Gift of Halloweeeeeeen! on October 28, 2008, a paid gift box that cost 250 Robux, then went on sale for 40,000 Tickets for a few days before leaving the catalog, according to the Roblox Wiki's catalog page for it. Tickets were Roblox's second currency, earned by logging in and playing, and Roblox retired them in 2016. Our Tixapalooza history covers what happened to the items that were priced in them.
The Ninja Mask of Awesome arrived in December 2007 inside the Bombastic Gift of Awesome and wears the same lava-style texture as the rest of the Bombastic line. It is the oldest mask in the family and, with 2,050 copies and a lowest ask of 12,500 Robux, one of the more expensive ones to buy. The ninja series article covers how it fits the wider ninja family.
The Bloxxadore Domino Mask was handed out in August 2009 to players who took part in Roblox's Tutorial Video Contest, and the Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask was a prize for finishing the maze in the 2009 Halloween Treasure Hunt. Both of those origin stories come from the Roblox Wiki's community-maintained catalog records, so treat the details as collector lore.
The modern giveaways went much bigger. The two Dia de Muertos masks were listed free in October 2018 and picked up 5,239,274 and 3,393,765 copies. Both are Limiteds today, and both list for a little over 300 Robux. Supply at that scale puts a hard ceiling on price no matter how good an item looks.
Which mask Limiteds have serial numbers? Six of them
A serial number is a fixed number stamped on your copy, recording the order it was bought in, from #1 up to the total minted. Six masks carry them, because Roblox launched those six as Limited Unique, which is the older label for an item sold with a preset stock and a serial on every copy:
- Rogue Masquerader
- Red Mardi Gras Mask
- Blue Mardi Gras Mask
- Mardi Skull Mask
- The Masked Popcorn Enthusiast!
- Neon Party Mask
The other 17 have no serials at all, so one copy is interchangeable with the next. Low serials sometimes carry a small premium on items collectors care about, and on a 4,000-Robux mask that premium is usually small enough to ignore. Our guide to Roblox Limited serial numbers explains when a number is worth paying for.
Why did some masks only become tradeable in 2022?
Release date and Limited date are two different things. The Skeleton King's Face Mask went on sale in January 2013 at 320 Robux and then spent nearly a decade offsale, meaning Roblox had pulled it from the catalog without making it resellable, so owners were stuck with it. Roblox converted it to a Limited on October 31, 2022, per the Roblox Wiki's catalog records, and only then could anyone resell it. The Cursed Mummy Mask, Werewolf Mask, Mildly Disturbing Mask and Magented Masked Saboteur all got the same treatment in that same 2022 wave, between September and November.
That conversion wave is why the family's prices look uneven. A mask that spent ten years dormant has a much shorter trading history than one that went Limited in 2009, so its RAP is built on fewer sales. How the conversions work, and which items are candidates, is covered in offsale Roblox items going Limited.
Copy counts have been drifting down since. Community records list 170 Skeleton King's masks sold when it went Limited against the 164 Roblox reports now, and 629 Magented Masked Saboteurs against 597 today. When Roblox terminates an account, the Limiteds in it are deleted with it, which trims supply a little every year. Our explainer on deleted Roblox Limiteds walks through what that means for owners.
What can you buy cheaply? Fifteen masks trade under 5,000 Robux
Fifteen of the 23 have a RAP under 5,000 Robux, and their asks sit close to those RAPs. That is the signature of a liquid item, meaning one where copies change hands often enough that the two numbers stay in touch. The Werewolf Mask at a 2,490 ask, the Neon Party Mask at 1,400 and the Mildly Disturbing Mask at 530 are about as cheap as owning a 2009-era classic gets.
A few rows in the table show the opposite pattern, where the ask sits well above RAP. The Cursed Mummy Mask has a RAP of 3,769 and a lowest ask of 7,500, and the Magented Masked Saboteur asks 17,500 against a RAP of 9,644. On a thinly traded item that gap usually means nobody is willing to undercut, so you either pay up or wait. Watching the deal feed is the cheaper option, since it flags copies listed below RAP as they appear, and it needs a signed-in account.
Two practical notes before you buy. Reselling a classic Limited costs you a 30% marketplace fee, so you keep 70% of whatever a copy sells for, and you need an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account to list one at all. Roblox's marketplace fees documentation sets out the full commission splits. After you buy a copy on the resale market it goes through a seven-day holding period, meaning the item is locked in your inventory and you cannot resell it during that window. Trading a classic Limited player-to-player needs Roblox Plus on both accounts, and a traded item is locked for two days.
Are mask Limiteds worth collecting in 2026?
Masks are a good entry point and a poor speculation. The cheap end of the family is cheap because supply is large and demand is ordinary, and a mask with 140,000 copies is unlikely to move much regardless of how the wider market goes. What the family offers is 2009-era classic history for a few thousand Robux.
The interesting end is narrow. The Mighty Mask of Zeus, Skeleton King's Face Mask and Dark Masquerade are the three with genuinely limited supply, and all three are priced accordingly. If you are hunting for a mask that might appreciate, copy count is the first filter to apply, and you can sort the whole family by it on the items leaderboard.
This is not financial advice. Limiteds go down as well as up, thin markets can leave you unable to sell at any price you like, and Roblox can change resale rules at any time.
Copy counts, RAP and lowest-ask figures come from RBX Invest catalog data cross-checked item by item against Roblox's own economy records on September 11, 2026; release dates are the creation dates on those catalog records; fee and holding-period rules come from Roblox's marketplace documentation; and the release stories, gift origins and Limited-conversion dates come from the Roblox Wiki's community-maintained catalog pages.
FAQ
What is the rarest Roblox mask Limited?
The Mighty Mask of Zeus, with 44 copies in existence. It went on sale on July 30, 2009 at 4,001 Robux and sold poorly at that price, which is why so few exist. The next rarest is the Skeleton King's Face Mask at 164 copies.
How much does the Mighty Mask of Zeus cost?
The cheapest copy currently listed asks 3,500,000 Robux, while its RAP sits at 95,617 Robux. The gap is normal for a 44-copy item, since RAP only updates when a sale happens and copies this scarce trade rarely. Expect to pay far closer to the ask than to the RAP.
What is the cheapest Roblox mask Limited?
The Catrina Dia de Muertos Mask, listed from 323 Robux with a RAP of 278. It was given away free in October 2018 and 3,393,765 copies exist, so supply keeps the price at the floor. The Catrin version at 340 and the Sequined Boxing Mask at 420 are the next cheapest.
Can you trade Roblox mask Limiteds?
Yes. Every mask in this family was made by Roblox, which makes them classic Limiteds, and classic Limiteds are tradeable through Roblox's Trade system. Both accounts in the trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription, and an item received in a trade is locked in your inventory for two days.
Which Roblox mask Limiteds have serial numbers?
Six: the Rogue Masquerader, Red Mardi Gras Mask, Blue Mardi Gras Mask, Mardi Skull Mask, The Masked Popcorn Enthusiast! and the Neon Party Mask. Roblox sold those as Limited Unique items with a preset stock, which stamps a serial on every copy. The other 17 masks have no serials.
Why do Roblox mask copy counts go down over time?
Because copies get deleted along with the accounts holding them. When Roblox permanently terminates an account, the Limiteds in its inventory disappear from circulation, and Roblox never restocks a sold-out Limited. That is why community records from 2017 list 1,750 Mardi Skull Masks against the 1,527 Roblox reports today.
Was the Roblox Hockey Mask ever free?
No. It came out of the Spooky Gift of Halloweeeeeeen! on October 28, 2008, a gift box that cost 250 Robux, and was then sold for 40,000 Tickets before leaving the catalog that November. It became a Limited in 2009 and 3,926 copies exist today, with the cheapest listed at 8,954 Robux.
Does Roblox still release mask Limiteds?
Yes, though rarely. The most recent Roblox-made mask Limited in this family is the Crystallized Power Mask from March 7, 2025, which sold 10,726 copies at 750 Robux and now lists from 498. Most new masks come from community creators instead, and those release as UGC Limiteds, meaning Limiteds made by players rather than by Roblox. UGC Limiteds can be resold, and Roblox's Trade system does not accept them.
