How did the Roblox Presence series start? With Warthulu in October 2009
Warthulu went on sale on October 29, 2009 at 600 Robux, two days before Halloween. It is an orange helmet with side horns, front tentacles and four red eyes, and the Roblox Wiki's Warthulu entry documents it as the first item in the Presence series. The design borrows openly from H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu, which is where the whole family's look comes from.
Roblox came back to the mold less than three months later with A Dark Presence, a recolor of the same helmet sold in January 2010 for 500 Robux. Then the series went quiet for five years. A Bright Presence arrived in November 2015 at 10,000 Robux, A Lucky Presence in March 2016 at 5,000 Robux as part of that year's St. Patrick's Day batch, and nothing followed until Halloween 2024.
The community wiki records the same mesh ID on all five items, so every Presence helmet is the 2009 sculpt wearing new paint. Worth knowing before you pay up for one: the texture and the copy count are the only things that separate them.
Warthulu was sold with a stock of 300 copies, per the wiki's archived catalog snapshot. Roblox's catalog data now counts 271. Copy counts on old Limiteds only shrink, because deleted and terminated accounts take their items with them, and none of those copies come back.

Warthulu and A Bright Presence sit within 4,000 Robux of each other on RAP, and traders still treat Bright as the more valuable of the two. The asks say the same thing: 849,989 Robux for Bright against 129,995 for Warthulu. Bright has 150 copies to Warthulu's 271, and its last two recorded sales were much higher than the sales that set Warthulu's RAP.
A Dark Presence: 128 copies and a 2,000,000 Robux sale
This is the smallest print in the family and the one people picture when the series comes up. The Roblox Wiki calls it the most popular hat in the series for its versatile colorscheme, and that matches how it trades: a dark helmet that suits almost any avatar keeps its demand for years.
Our sales data holds three sales of A Dark Presence since tracking began in late 2022: 95,000 Robux in November 2022, 142,857 in March 2023, and 2,000,000 on March 11, 2026. Three sales in nearly four years, on an item with 128 copies.
That last sale is also a clean lesson in how RAP moves. Each sale drags RAP one tenth of the way from where it sits toward the price that just printed. Work backwards from today's 292,943 and a 2,000,000 sale and you get a RAP of roughly 103,000 beforehand. One trade nearly tripled the number, and the number still sits at about 15% of what that copy actually sold for.
A Bright Presence: 150 copies and a RAP that undersells it
A Bright Presence launched at 10,000 Robux in November 2015, the highest launch price in the family, and sold 150 copies. Our data records 12 sales since late 2022, with the last two at 149,999 Robux in May 2025 and 160,000 in July 2025.
Its RAP reads 82,895, which is roughly half of those trades. Part of the gap comes from a single recorded sale at 1 Robux in August 2024, the kind of token-price transfer that drags a thin item's RAP down for years. If you value a Bright Presence off RAP alone you will price it at half the going rate.
A Lucky Presence: a St. Patrick's Day helmet with a joke price tag
A Lucky Presence came out on March 10, 2016 at 5,000 Robux with a 150-copy print, part of the green batch covered in our St. Patrick's Day Limiteds history. It traded in a tight band for years, with seven recorded sales at 69,999 Robux across 2024, then a single sale at 580,000 Robux in July 2025.

A Darker Presence: what 5,356 copies does to a price
Roblox sold A Darker Presence for 4,999 Robux during The Haunt, its 2024 Halloween event, which ran from October 24 to November 1, 2024. The item became a Limited on October 27, 2024 with 5,356 copies, and its description carries a joke about the Pumpkin Man, a nod to the Headless Horseman curse the event was built around.
The price path since then is the whole argument for why copy counts matter:
- October 2024, resale opens: 428 sales at an average of 6,825 Robux
- December 2024: 3,342 Robux
- April 2025, the floor: 2,564 Robux
- April 2026, the strongest month since the launch month: 6,579 Robux
- Last 30 days: 84 sales at an average of about 3,755 Robux
Flipping it at launch rarely paid. Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on a classic Limited resale, so a seller keeps 70% of the price. Sell a 4,999 Robux hat for 6,825 and you keep 4,777, which is less than you paid. Break-even on a 4,999 purchase is about 7,141 Robux, and the strongest day in October 2024 averaged 7,891. The window where that flip worked was a few days wide.
It is a fine hat to own for the look. Today's ask of 3,400 Robux is 32% below the launch price, and with 5,356 copies chasing buyers, the resale floor moves slowly.
Why does RAP understate every old Presence hat? They almost never trade
Add up our recorded sales for the four classic Presence helmets since late 2022 and you get 44. A Darker Presence has 3,166 in less than two years.
RAP needs sales to stay current. When an item trades once or twice a year, its RAP is mostly a memory of prices from 2022 and 2023, and the market has moved since. What drives the Presence premium?
Three things, in order of how much they matter.
Supply does most of the work. The four old helmets total 699 copies between them. A Darker Presence alone has 5,356, and it trades at roughly 1% of A Dark Presence's RAP despite being the same shape.
Age matters next. Items from 2009 and 2010 come from a period when Roblox sold very few Limiteds, and collectors who buy that era pay for the release date as much as the look. The wiki calls Warthulu one of the earliest Limited Unique items Roblox published, and A Dark Presence followed it that same winter.
Serial numbers finish the job. The Roblox Wiki records the first four Presence helmets as Limited Unique, the type where every copy carries a serial number, while A Darker Presence is a plain Limited with no serials. Is a Presence helmet worth buying in 2026?
Depends which one and what you want from it.
If you want the look for a reasonable price, A Darker Presence at 3,400 Robux is the only realistic entry. Buy it because you want to wear it. Its monthly average has stayed between roughly 2,500 and 7,000 Robux for two years, so the downside is small and so is the upside.
If you are buying a gem, which is our word for a scarce, high-value Limited, the old Presence hats are patient money. Sales come once or twice a year, the spread between RAP and the ask is enormous, and most copies change hands after a conversation with the owner. Warthulu is the most reachable of the four at a 129,995 Robux ask, and it has the steadiest recent trade record: 130,000 in July 2026 and 135,000 in August 2026.
Watch out for projected prices. A projected item is one whose RAP was pumped by a small group trading at prices nobody else pays, and since a single sale drags RAP a tenth of the way, one inflated trade does the job.
