Viridian Series History: Roblox's Green Texture Line

The Viridian series is Roblox's green texture line. Five of its seventeen items are Limiteds, led by the Viridian Domino Crown at 139,185 R$ RAP.

The Viridian series is Roblox's family of items finished in viridian, a dark green mineral texture the company painted onto borrowed hat shapes for a full decade. It runs from the Viridian Hood on October 17, 2009 to the Viridian Domino Crown on November 30, 2019. The Roblox Wiki counts fourteen Viridian accessories plus three pieces of gear, and five of those seventeen are Limiteds, meaning items Roblox stopped selling that owners now resell to each other. The Viridian Domino Crown is the expensive one, at a RAP of 139,185 Robux with 2,235 copies in RBX Invest catalog data as of September 6, 2026. RAP, short for Recent Average Price, is Roblox's slow-moving average of an item's sale prices.

Quick answer: Five Viridian items are Limiteds. The Viridian Domino Crown leads at 139,185 R$ RAP, the 500-copy Viridian Headphones sits second at 104,269 R$, and the Viridian Animal Hoodie is the cheap way in at an 811 R$ RAP. Nine more Viridian items were still on sale from Roblox when we checked on September 6, 2026, priced from 75 to 5,000 Robux, and none of those can ever be resold.

What is the Viridian series on Roblox? One green texture on borrowed shapes

Viridian Hood

Roblox published the Viridian Hood on October 17, 2009, and according to the Roblox Wiki it is the first item in both the Viridian line and the Hood line. It sold for 45 Robux, a price Roblox's own catalog listing still shows, and it stayed on sale for about ten days before going Limited on October 27, 2009. The catalog description is one line about druids in the woods.

Nearly every Viridian item after it is a retexture. A retexture keeps an existing 3D shape and paints new art onto it, so Roblox could turn any old hat green in an afternoon. The Viridian Headphones sit on the Clockwork's Headphones shape. The Faux Viridian Fedora sits on the plain fedora shape shared by the Sinister, Rainbow and Bluesteel fedoras. The Viridian Domino Crown sits on the same crown shape as every other Domino Crown.

Understand that before you spend anything here. Viridian is a coat of paint, and what a Viridian item is worth depends mostly on how famous the shape underneath it already was.

Roblox ran the same idea with other materials in the same era, and the pattern repeats family by family: the Bluesteel line, the Black Iron line, the Wanwood line and the Bombastic line.

Which Viridian items are Limiteds? Five, ordered by price

Here is every Viridian Limited. Copies, RAP and lowest ask are RBX Invest catalog data as of September 6, 2026. Lowest ask means the cheapest price any owner currently has a copy listed at. Original prices and sale windows were checked against Roblox's own catalog listings and the Roblox Wiki.

Item Copies RAP Lowest ask How it was sold
Viridian Domino Crown 2,235 139,185 136,000 12,000 R$ on a 2-day timer, Nov 2019
Viridian Headphones 500 104,269 135,000 5,000 R$, 500-copy stock, Mar 2014
Viridian Hood 3,142 23,032 20,000 45 R$ for ten days, Oct 2009
Viridian Visor 3,924 1,422 1,199 100 R$ on a 17-hour timer, Jan 2017
Viridian Animal Hoodie 18,767 811 788 100 R$ sale, Aug 2017

Trader consensus, meaning the price experienced traders agree an item is really worth based on real trades and offers, puts these five in the same order their RAP does. That is not always true in this market, and when the two orders disagree it usually means a scarce item sells so rarely that RAP has not caught up. Here they agree, which makes the table easy to read.

Look at the top two rows and the usual rule breaks. The item with 500 copies is worth less than the item with 2,235.

Why is the Viridian Domino Crown the most expensive Viridian item? The crown shape

Viridian Domino Crown

Roblox published the Viridian Domino Crown on November 30, 2019 for that year's Black Friday sale. It cost 12,000 Robux, which Roblox's catalog listing still shows, and it sat on a timer of a little over two days before closing and becoming a Limited immediately, per the Roblox Wiki. Everyone who wanted one during those two days got one, which is why 2,235 copies exist.

It is the cheapest way into the Domino Crown family that still uses the original crown shape. The Domino Crown is Roblox's oldest gem line, a gem being a scarce, high-value Limited traders treat as a store of value, and the older members trade in the millions. We cover the whole family in the Domino Crown series history, and the current line ranks live on the crowns collection.

People spend 136,000 Robux on it because it is a Domino Crown, and this is the one they can afford. That demand keeps the market liquid: the lowest ask sits slightly below the 139,185 RAP, which means real sellers competing for real buyers.

Is the Viridian Headphones the rarest Viridian Limited? Yes, at 500 copies

Viridian Headphones

The Viridian Headphones went up on March 16, 2014 at 5,000 Robux with a hard stock cap of 500 copies. Both figures check out: Roblox's catalog listing still carries the 5,000 price, and our catalog counts exactly 500 copies today, so the mint sold out and not one copy has been lost in twelve years.

It is a Limited U, short for Limited Unique, which means every copy carries a serial number stamped in the order it sold. Low serials, and serial 1 above all, usually fetch more from collectors than a number pulled from the middle of the run, and our guide to Limited serial numbers covers how much that is generally worth.

This is the family's real scarcity story, and it still loses to the crown. Four and a half times fewer copies exist, and it trades about 25% lower. The Roblox Wiki records that it borrows the Clockwork's Headphones shape, one of the platform's most respected old lines and the subject of our Clockwork series history. Borrowed fame carries an item a long way, just not as far as a Domino Crown.

The gap between its 104,269 RAP and its 135,000 lowest ask is the number to watch. That 29% spread is what a thin market looks like: with 500 copies and few sales, whoever is selling can set the price and wait. More items in this supply tier sit on the Limiteds under 1,000 copies collection.

Which Viridian items can you still buy from Roblox? Nine, from 75 to 5,000 Robux

Twelve family members were never made Limited. Nine of them were still on sale from Roblox when we checked its catalog on September 6, 2026, and three are offsale. None of the twelve can be resold or traded at any price, so buying one gets you the look and nothing else.

Release dates come from the Roblox Wiki. Prices and on-sale status were read from Roblox's own catalog listings on the date above.

The Faux Viridian Fedora is the joke of the group. Its description admits the artist handed in a fake, so Roblox sold the counterfeit version at 300 Robux next to the real thing. It has been buyable for eleven years and counting.

Two offsale items came out of Roblox's old holiday gift boxes. The Viridian Shutter Shades arrived in December 2014 inside the Restricted Gift of Short Supply, which randomly handed each owner one of four pairs in Viridian, Bluesteel, Bombastic or Black Iron, per the Roblox Wiki. The Viridian Antlers came out of a St. Patrick's Day gift in March 2015. Neither was converted to a Limited, so neither has a market, and our history of Roblox mystery gifts covers how those events worked.

That single decision, converting an item to Limited or leaving it alone, is the whole difference between the two tables on this page.

What drives Viridian prices? The shape first, then supply

Three things set prices in this family, and they are not equally strong.

The shape underneath does most of the work. The two Viridian items built on famous meshes, the Domino Crown and the Clockwork's Headphones, are worth 100,000 Robux and up. The three built on ordinary shapes, a hood, a visor and a fox-ear hoodie, sit between 811 and 23,032.

Supply matters second, and it only shrinks. The Roblox Wiki records that 3,952 Viridian Visors sold before the item went Limited in October 2022, and our catalog counts 3,924 today. The Viridian Animal Hoodie sold 18,958 copies in August 2017, and 18,767 survive. Those missing copies belong to accounts that were deleted or terminated, and classic Limited supply never grows back. It is slow, real support under old items.

How long the market has existed comes third. The Viridian Hood has been tradeable since 2009 and has a deep, well-understood market at a 23,032 RAP with an ask right underneath it. The Viridian Visor only became a Limited in October 2022, and at a similar copy count it prices under 1,500 Robux. A four-year-old market behaves differently from a seventeen-year-old one.

This family is a color with no lore, event or cross-game recognition behind it, and colors move with the classic market as a whole.

Should you buy a Viridian item in 2026? Where the honest entry points are

The Viridian Animal Hoodie at a 788 Robux ask is the cheapest Limited in the family and a reasonable first one for someone who just wants to see how a resale works. With 18,767 copies it is not going to make anyone money.

The Viridian Hood at 20,000 is the one with the history, and its ask sits below its RAP, which is what a healthy market looks like. The Viridian Domino Crown is the family's serious position, and it is priced like one.

The Viridian Headphones is the interesting call. Smallest supply on the page, widest gap between RAP and ask, so you pay a 29% premium over the average sale to get one at all. That is either the market being honest about how hard it is to find, or a seller's opening bid. Watch it for a few weeks before you decide which.

Run the resale math before you commit to any of it. Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on a Classic Limited resale, so you keep 70% of whatever you sell for. Buy the Viridian Hood at 20,000 Robux and you need about 28,600 on the way out just to break even, roughly 1.43 times your cost. Selling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account, though whoever buys from you needs nothing. After you buy a Classic Limited on resale, Roblox holds it for up to 7 days before you can list it again, and after a trade the hold is 2 days, which we break down in Roblox Limited holding periods.

To hunt one below its ask, watch the deal feed, which needs a signed-in account, screen the family side by side on the items leaderboard, and browse the collections hub or the classic hats collection to compare Viridian against the other texture lines. None of this is financial advice. A texture family with no event behind it is one of the first things to slide when the classic market cools, and you should only spend Robux you can afford to lose.

Release dates, sale windows, series membership and gift-box history in this article come from the Roblox Wiki on Fandom; original prices, on-sale prices and offsale status were read from Roblox's own catalog listings; resale rules and the marketplace fee come from Roblox's marketplace documentation; copies, RAP and lowest ask figures are RBX Invest catalog data as of September 6, 2026.

FAQ

What is the Viridian series on Roblox?

The Viridian series is Roblox's line of items finished in viridian, a dark green mineral texture applied to existing hat and accessory shapes. It began with the Viridian Hood in October 2009 and ended with the Viridian Domino Crown in November 2019, and the Roblox Wiki counts fourteen Viridian accessories plus three pieces of gear.

Which Viridian item is worth the most?

The Viridian Domino Crown, at a RAP of 139,185 Robux with a lowest ask of 136,000 in RBX Invest catalog data as of September 6, 2026. It is worth the most because it is a Domino Crown, even with 2,235 copies, more than four times the supply of the Viridian Headphones.

Which Viridian items are Limiteds?

Five of the seventeen: the Viridian Domino Crown, Viridian Headphones, Viridian Hood, Viridian Visor and Viridian Animal Hoodie. The other twelve were never converted, so they cannot be resold or traded no matter how long you hold them.

How rare is the Viridian Headphones?

It is the rarest item in the family at exactly 500 copies. Roblox published it on March 16, 2014 at 5,000 Robux with a hard 500-copy stock cap, and our catalog still counts 500 today, meaning no copies have been lost. It is a Limited U, so every copy carries its own serial number.

Can you still buy Viridian items from Roblox?

Yes, nine of them. When we checked Roblox's catalog on September 6, 2026, the Viridian Crown (5,000 R$), Viridian Katana (1,000), Viridian Top Hat (800), Viridian Banded Fedora (500), Faux Viridian Fedora (300), Viridian Boa (275), Viridian Hoverboard (250), Viridian Bow Tie (150) and Viridian Necktie (75) were all on sale. None of them is a Limited, so none can be resold.

Why is the Viridian Domino Crown worth more than the rarer Viridian Headphones?

Because the shape underneath is more famous. The Domino Crown is Roblox's oldest gem line and the older members trade in the millions, so the Viridian version is the cheapest way into a family collectors already want. Scarcity helps, but it loses to demand when the two pull in opposite directions.

What is the cheapest Viridian Limited?

The Viridian Animal Hoodie, at an 811 Robux RAP and a 788 Robux lowest ask. Roblox sold it for 100 Robux over three days in August 2017 and converted it to a Limited in January 2023, and 18,767 copies survive from the 18,958 originally sold.

Is Roblox still making Viridian items?

Not as classic Limiteds. The last Roblox-made Viridian item was the Viridian Domino Crown in November 2019. Community creators have published their own green retextures as UGC Limiteds since 2023, but those are a separate market: UGC Limiteds cannot be traded at all and change hands only through Marketplace resales.
