The ROBLOX Classic: Wizard's Hat went up on July 3, 2007, a blue cone covered in moons and ringed planets. Its catalog description is still the same joke it launched with: "Expelliarmus! Rictusempra! Teapoticus! The original ROBLOX Wizard Hat!" Now the part collectors care about. The Roblox Wiki lists the Hedge Wizard's Hat, the Ice Wizard and the 2016 Fire Wizard as sharing the same mesh ID, 11380164. It was expensive on day one. At 10,000 Robux in August 2018, most players simply could not buy it. It was also a timed release, on sale for about 12 hours, so there was no slow accumulation of copies the way the 2007 hat got. On items with a few hundred copies, sales are rare, so RAP freezes at whatever it was when the last trade happened while holders quietly raise their asks. The RAP is stale and the ask is aspirational, and the real clearing price usually sits between them. Do not read a low RAP as a bargain on an item with 286 copies and no recent sales.
