Roblox Ancient Limiteds: Spartans, Zeus and Pharaohs

Roblox published 23 ancient world Limiteds between 2008 and 2015. The Gold Spartan leads on trader value with just 23 copies left. See every item ranked.

Roblox's ancient world Limiteds are 23 classic items themed on Greece, Rome and Egypt, published by Roblox between July 2008 and November 2015. A Limited is a catalog item with a capped number of copies that players can resell and trade with each other. The Gold Spartan is the family's scarcest piece with 23 copies left, and the whole group accounts for 46,761 copies in RBX Invest catalog data as of September 2026, though a single free mask from a 2009 Halloween hunt makes up 32,671 of that total.

Quick answer: Roblox published 23 ancient-themed Limiteds. Four carry six-figure RAPs: Bastet: The Cat Goddess, the Green Laurel Wreath, the Parallel Universe Roman Empire Centurion Helmet and the Gold Spartan. Copy count explains almost every price in the family. Every item above 60,000 R$ RAP has fewer than 500 copies, while the cheapest item in the family has 32,671.

What counts as an ancient Roblox Limited? Greek, Roman and Egyptian classics from 2008 to 2015

Roblox kept coming back to the ancient world for seven years without ever running it as one event. A centurion helmet here, a laurel crown there, a mummy hand for Halloween. Put them side by side and you get a family that covers the full price range of classic collecting. Classic Limiteds are the ones Roblox made itself, the older half of the market alongside the community-made UGC Limiteds that arrived in 2023. Prices here run from a 948 R$ mask almost anyone can afford to a helmet whose cheapest listing asks ten million Robux. To browse the wider set these hats came from, the live classic hats collection ranks every Roblox-made hat Limited by RAP.

Two numbers do most of the work in the tables below, so it helps to know what they mean. RAP stands for recent average price, and it's Roblox's smoothed estimate of an item's sale price: every completed sale pulls the number one tenth of the way toward it, so RAP lags on items that rarely sell. Our explainer on how RAP works goes deeper. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy any reseller currently has listed, which is what you'd actually pay today.

Some of these hats went Limited the day they came out. Others sat in the catalog as ordinary items for years, went off-sale (removed from the catalog so nobody can buy a new one), and only later got converted into Limiteds with a fixed copy count. That conversion is a recurring Roblox move, covered in our guide to off-sale items becoming Limiteds, and it shaped two of the most valuable items in this family.

Which ancient Roblox Limited is worth the most? The Gold Spartan, at 23 copies

Gold Spartan

The Gold Spartan carries a RAP of 114,684 R$, which puts it fourth in the family. Ask traders what it's worth and you get a much bigger number. Its consensus street value, meaning what experienced traders agree a copy actually changes hands for, sits well above every other item here, and there is currently no copy listed for sale at all.

The reason is supply. Roblox's own asset records show the hat was created in September 2011, but the Roblox Wiki's catalog page for the Gold Spartan records it as published on April 1, 2012, at 10,000 Robux with a stock of 44 copies, during the site incident that hit Roblox that day. Only 23 of those copies still exist. Accounts get deleted, and every deletion permanently removes a copy.

That combination is the classic setup for a gem, the word collectors use for a scarce Limited the market treats as a trophy: a tiny original run, a decade of attrition, and owners who have no reason to sell. When an item sells once every few years, RAP barely moves, which is why the published RAP sits so far below what a real sale would cost you.

Why does the Mighty Mask of Zeus trade above its RAP?

Mighty Mask of Zeus

The Mighty Mask of Zeus has 44 copies and a RAP of 95,617 R$, with a lowest ask of 3,500,000 R$. Traders rank it second in the family on street value, above three items with higher RAPs.

Its history explains the gap. Roblox published the mask in July 2009 at 4,001 Robux, pulled it off-sale in August 2010, then left it alone for four and a half years. It became a Limited on February 1, 2015. Between 2010 and 2015 it couldn't be bought or sold at all, so the copies that existed stayed frozen in whatever inventories held them. When resale finally opened, the people holding a 2009 face accessory were long-term collectors, and long-term collectors list high or don't list at all.

You'll see the same pattern on the Parallel Universe Roman Empire Centurion Helmet, which sold for 8,000 Robux in July 2009 and only went Limited in April 2015. It has 93 copies, a RAP of 148,600 R$, and a cheapest listing of 10,000,000 R$. Treat an ask that far above RAP as a signal that the owner isn't really selling.

Greece and Rome: every ancient Limited ranked

These are ordered by trader consensus value, which on the thinly traded items disagrees with RAP order. Copies, RAP and lowest ask are RBX Invest catalog figures as of September 21, 2026.

Item Published Launch price Copies RAP Lowest ask
Gold Spartan April 2012 10,000 R$ 23 114,684 R$ None listed
Mighty Mask of Zeus July 2009 4,001 R$ 44 95,617 R$ 3,500,000 R$
Parallel Universe Roman Empire Centurion Helmet July 2009 8,000 R$ 93 148,600 R$ 10,000,000 R$
Green Laurel Wreath January 2010 250 R$ 216 153,184 R$ 999,999 R$
Black Iron Ring of Olympia July 2008 750 R$ 403 64,645 R$ 114,998 R$
Crown of Autumn Laurels October 2011 1,000 R$ 495 36,988 R$ 38,899 R$
Zeus's Lightning Bolt Staff November 2011 3,000 R$ 492 24,179 R$ 16,999 R$
Deluxe Roman Helmet February 2013 1,000 R$ 499 17,368 R$ 350,000 R$
Blue Spartan of the Future June 2012 600 R$ 591 16,180 R$ 55,000 R$
Roman Flank Soldier October 2011 150 R$ 737 12,465 R$ 17,500 R$
King Poseidon's Crown June 2011 500 R$ 735 9,459 R$ 8,757 R$
League of the Minotaur July 2011 100 R$ 1,047 5,624 R$ 5,767 R$
Poseidon March 2010 200 R$ 1,114 4,607 R$ 4,699 R$
Ronald McCenturion August 2010 250 R$ 937 3,325 R$ 3,319 R$
27th Century Centurion February 2010 100 R$ 1,817 2,864 R$ 2,990 R$

Look at the bottom half of that table and you'll notice RAP and lowest ask sitting almost on top of each other. The Poseidon, the Ronald McCenturion and the 27th Century Centurion all trade within a few percent of their RAP, because with a thousand or more copies there's always someone selling and always someone buying. That's a healthy market, and it's where beginners should start.

The Deluxe Roman Helmet is the odd one out. It has 499 copies and a 17,368 R$ RAP, but its cheapest listing is 350,000 R$. A floor priced twenty times above RAP is what a projected item looks like, meaning someone has parked an unrealistic ask on a copy and nobody is paying it. Our guide to projected items covers how to tell a real floor from a parked one.

The Black Iron Ring of Olympia deserves a note of its own as the oldest item here. The Roblox Wiki's catalog entry ties it to a 2008 Olympics contest that asked players to favorite five Olympic-themed places, and it went off-sale a month after release. It's also part of a much bigger metal-textured family covered in our Black Iron series history.

Egypt: the pharaoh and mummy Limiteds ranked

Headdress of Aken-Aten, the Sun King

Roblox's Egyptian run started in autumn 2009 with mummies for Halloween and ended in 2015 with a sword. It's the smaller half of the family at eight items, but it holds two of the four most valuable pieces overall. Three of those eight are gear, the usable swords and tools of the pre-UGC era, and they sit in the classic gear collection alongside the rest of Roblox's Limited gear.

Item Published Launch price Copies RAP Lowest ask
Headdress of Aken-Aten, the Sun King November 2009 2,000 R$ 92 87,205 R$ 1,106,767 R$
Bastet: The Cat Goddess April 2012 900 R$ 78 159,335 R$ 5,377,555 R$
The Pharaoh Guard's Sword November 2015 1,000 R$ 500 43,368 R$ 35,000 R$
Acursed Mummy Hand of Head Shot October 2010 400 R$ 482 30,791 R$ 75,000 R$
Egypt's Greatest Ruler April 2011 500 R$ 384 17,486 R$ 98,888 R$
Cursed Mummy Friend October 2009 100 R$ 1,869 11,869 R$ 17,800 R$
Cursed Mummy Mask December 2009 95 R$ 1,442 4,142 R$ 20,000 R$
Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask October 2009 Free 32,671 846 R$ 948 R$

The Headdress of Aken-Aten, the Sun King is the piece traders rank highest here, ahead of Bastet despite carrying a RAP about half as large. It launched in November 2009 at 2,000 Robux with a stock of 100 copies, of which 92 survive, and its item description is a full paragraph about the real pharaoh Akhenaten. Roblox wrote catalog descriptions differently in 2009.

Bastet: The Cat Goddess has the highest RAP of any item in this article at 159,335 R$. The Roblox Wiki records it as another April 1, 2012 publish, originally named Stargate, with a stock of 100 copies and a note that it was never meant to go out at all. Its 5,377,555 R$ ask tells you how rarely a copy is genuinely available. It also appears in our cat Limiteds history, where it tops that family too.

At the other end sits the Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask, and it's the best entry point in this whole article. It was a free prize from Roblox's 2009 Halloween treasure hunt, 32,671 copies exist, and you can buy one for 948 R$ right now. Plenty of copies means steady sales, which is why its RAP and its floor are within 102 R$ of each other. More of Roblox's spooky-season releases are in our Halloween Limiteds roundup.

One more Egyptian item is worth knowing about even though it never became a Limited. The Glorious Pharaoh of the Sun, published by Roblox in February 2019, has no copy cap and no resale market, so it sits outside the tables above.

Are the laurel crowns a real series? Yes, three hats across 2009 to 2011

Green Laurel Wreath

The Roblox Wiki documents a Crown of Laurels series of three hats. The first, the Crown of Golden Laurels from May 2009, is still an ordinary catalog item you can buy at its price floor, with no copy cap and no resale value. The other two are the Limiteds in the table above.

The Green Laurel Wreath is the one collectors chase. It launched in January 2010 at 250 Robux with a stock of 250 copies, 216 of which still exist, and it now carries a 153,184 R$ RAP. That's roughly 600 times its launch price, and 250 Robux is the cheapest launch price of any item in this article that now carries a six-figure RAP. The Crown of Autumn Laurels followed in October 2011 at 1,000 Robux with twice the stock, and it trades at a fraction of the green one's price. Double the supply, a quarter of the RAP.

If you like this shape, the live crowns collection gathers every crown-style Limited on the site in one ranked list.

What drives prices in this family? Copies, above everything else

Three things, in order of how much they matter.

Copies. Sort the tables by copy count and you almost get the price order for free. Every item with fewer than 100 copies sits above 87,000 R$ RAP. Every item with more than 1,000 copies trades under 12,000 R$. Nothing else in this family overrides that relationship.

No new supply. Roblox hasn't published an ancient-themed classic Limited since November 2015, so nothing new joins this family. Every copy that gets deleted along with a terminated account is gone permanently, so the counts only shrink. The Gold Spartan going from a documented 44 copies to 23 is the extreme version of a slow drift that affects every old hat.

Theme demand. The mummy items pull attention out of proportion to their prices. The Cursed Mummy Friend has 8,958 favorites and the Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask has 8,806, more than any six-figure item in the family. Favorites count how many players liked an item, so a 948 R$ mask can lead the family on attention while trading for pocket change. Our guide on whether favorites affect Limited value works through that gap.

How much do you keep when you sell one? 70% of the sale price

Buying a classic Limited on the Marketplace is straightforward: you pay the reseller's asking price and the item lands in your inventory. Buying needs no subscription. Reselling and trading both need an active Roblox Plus subscription, and in a trade both sides need one.

Selling is where the math bites. On a classic Roblox-made Limited resale, Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee and you keep 70% of the sale price. Sell the Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask at its current 948 R$ floor and you keep about 663 R$. That means break-even is about 1.43 times what you paid, so a 5,000 R$ purchase needs a 7,150 R$ sale just to get your Robux back.

Holding periods also apply. A holding period is a window after an item reaches your inventory when you can't move it on. A classic Limited is locked for seven days after you buy it on resale and two days after you receive it in a trade, so plan around that before you commit. If you want to watch for copies listing below RAP, the Deals feed tracks below-RAP listings across the catalog and needs a signed-in account, and the items leaderboard screens every Limited by RAP, price, copies and sales volume. For the tier above this family, the most expensive Limiteds collection is the live version of that list.

None of this is financial advice. Old Limiteds with a handful of copies can sit unsold for years, and a published RAP is no promise that a buyer exists at that number.

Figures in this article come from RBX Invest catalog data and Roblox's own item records as of September 21, 2026, with release dates, original stock counts and item history from the Roblox Wiki's catalog pages, and fee and holding-period rules from Roblox's Marketplace documentation.

FAQ

What is the most valuable ancient Roblox Limited?

The Gold Spartan. It has 23 copies, a RAP of 114,684 R$, and trader consensus puts its real value well above every other Greek, Roman or Egyptian Limited. No copy is currently listed for sale.

Which ancient Roblox Limited has the highest RAP?

Bastet: The Cat Goddess, at 159,335 R$. It has 78 copies and the Roblox Wiki dates its publication to April 1, 2012. Its cheapest listing sits at 5,377,555 R$, which is far above the RAP because copies almost never come up for sale.

What is the cheapest ancient Roblox Limited?

The Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask, with a lowest ask of 948 R$ and a RAP of 846 R$. It was a free prize from Roblox's 2009 Halloween treasure hunt, and its 32,671 copies make it the most common item in the family by a wide margin.

Can you still buy the Spartan hats from Roblox?

No. The Gold Spartan and the Blue Spartan of the Future are both Limiteds with fixed copy counts, so the only way to get one is from another player through a resale or a trade. The Spartan Sword gear from January 2010 is a different case, since it was never given a copy cap.

Why is the Mighty Mask of Zeus worth more than its RAP?

Because it barely sells. Roblox pulled the mask off-sale in 2010 and only made it a Limited in February 2015, so its 44 copies spent years locked in collectors' inventories. RAP moves one tenth of the way toward each sale, so on an item that sells once in a blue moon it stays stuck near an old number.

Are Roman and Greek Limiteds a good starting point for a new collector?

The high-copy ones are reasonable. The Poseidon, Ronald McCenturion and 27th Century Centurion all sit under 5,000 R$ with over 900 copies each, and their RAPs and floors track within a few percent, which means there are live buyers and sellers on both sides. The scarce items in this family are illiquid and best left until you know the market.

Can you trade these items instead of buying them?

Yes. Every item here was published by Roblox, and classic Roblox-made Limiteds can be traded player to player. Both accounts need an active Roblox Plus subscription, and a classic Limited is locked for two days after a trade lands.

How many ancient-themed Limiteds did Roblox make?

Twenty-three that RBX Invest tracks, spanning July 2008 to November 2015. Fifteen are Greek or Roman and eight are Egyptian. Roblox also published ancient-themed items without a copy cap, such as the Crown of Golden Laurels and the Glorious Pharaoh of the Sun, and those have no resale market.
