Roblox Limited Hair: Which Ones Are Actually Worth Robux

Most Roblox Limited hair trades under 500 R$. Only 38 hairs top 10,000 R$, and 26 of those are classic Roblox hair made between 2009 and 2018.

Most Roblox Limited hair is worth very little. RBX Invest tracks 10,371 Limited hair accessories, and among the 7,320 with a recorded sale price the median one sits at 77 Robux. A Limited is any Roblox item with a fixed supply that owners are allowed to resell, and RAP (Recent Average Price) is Roblox's smoothed average of an item's sale prices. Only 38 hairs carry a RAP of 10,000 R$ or more, and 26 of those were published by Roblox itself between 2009 and 2018. The top of the market is led by Rainbow Shaggy, a 50-copy release from October 2011 with a RAP of 3,928,213 R$.

Quick answer: About 87% of tracked Roblox Limited hair trades under 500 R$. The valuable names are nearly all classic Roblox releases, headed by Rainbow Shaggy, Telamon Hair, Tix Shaggy and the five Glorious Party Queen colors. The priciest community-made hair with a real market behind it, Witch of the Wood, sits at a RAP of 11,465 R$.

Hair Copies RAP Lowest ask
Rainbow Shaggy 50 3,928,213 R$ 618,033,988 R$
Telamon Hair 35 696,670 R$ 25,000,000 R$
Tix Shaggy 51 1,677,088 R$ 9,999,999,999 R$
Pastel Rainbow Shaggy 200 844,022 R$ 10,000,000 R$
Glorious Cyan Party Queen 101 50,239 R$ 3,684,121 R$
Glorious Purple Party Queen 100 222,170 R$ 924,999 R$
Glorious Pink Party Queen 100 46,395 R$ 3,455,415 R$
Glorious Blue Party Queen 100 206,237 R$ 2,154,156 R$
Glorious Vampire Party Queen 130 116,058 R$ 600,000 R$
Fuchsia Fantastique 1,111 283,604 R$ 322,222 R$

The order above follows what traders actually pay for these hairs, which is why the Cyan and Pink Party Queens rank high while their RAP reads low. The lowest ask is the cheapest price a reseller is currently listing a copy at. More on both numbers below.

What counts as Limited hair on Roblox?

Limited hair is any hair accessory with a capped supply that can be resold on the Marketplace. Roblox files hair under its own avatar category, separate from hats, so a Shaggy and a fedora are different item types even when both sit on your head.

There are two kinds. A classic Limited was published by Roblox itself, and it can still be traded player to player. A UGC Limited was published by a community creator under the program that opened in April 2023, and it can only change hands through a Marketplace resale. Our catalog holds 54 classic Limited hairs against 10,317 community-made ones, so almost everything in this category was minted in the last three years. Roblox published its hair Limiteds between June 2009 and March 2025, though the ones that matter to traders all landed by 2018.

Two more words worth knowing. Copies is the total number ever minted, sometimes called the float or the print. Sold out means the creator's original stock is gone, so the only way to buy one is from a reseller. You can browse the community-made side of this market on the live UGC Limited hair collection, and the sold-out ones on the sold-out UGC Limiteds page.

How much is most Roblox Limited hair worth? Under 500 Robux

The whole tracked hair market, sorted by RAP band, as of September 2026:

RAP band Hairs Made by Roblox
Under 100 R$ 4,062 0
100 to 499 R$ 2,294 0
500 to 999 R$ 510 1
1,000 to 9,999 R$ 416 19
10,000 to 99,999 R$ 28 17
100,000 R$ and up 10 9

Read the first two rows again: 6,356 of the 7,320 hairs with a price history trade under 500 R$. That is the real shape of this market. Run the numbers the other way and the scarcity looks even starker, because Roblox has only ever published 54 Limited hairs, and 26 of them sit above 10,000 R$. Creators publish hair constantly, most releases carry hundreds or thousands of copies, and supply that size leaves nothing for scarcity to price in. If you are shopping for something to wear, that is good news, because a decent sold-out hair often costs less than a cheap hat. The items leaderboard and the under-100 Robux collection both show how deep the cheap end runs.

Which Roblox Limited hair is worth the most? Rainbow Shaggy, at 50 copies

Rainbow Shaggy

Roblox published Rainbow Shaggy on October 20, 2011 for 2,500 Robux, with a catalog description that reads "Because regular shaggys just don't express the depth of your complicated soul." Fifty copies exist, and that print size plus 15 years of trading history is why it heads every hair list. The cheapest copy currently listed asks 618,033,988 R$.

The rest of the top tier splits into three stories.

The Shaggy line is the backbone. Tix Shaggy arrived on March 16, 2016 during Tixapalooza, the month-long sale that closed out Tickets, Roblox's retired second currency, and Roblox's records list no Robux price for it at all. Pastel Rainbow Shaggy followed a day later at 15,000 Robux with 200 copies. Our Shaggy series history walks through every color in the family.

Telamon Hair is the collector's oddity. Roblox published it on July 23, 2010 for 5,000 Robux with a description of "As seen on John Shedletsky," the early Roblox developer who went by the account name Telamon. Thirty-five copies exist, which puts it among the thinnest hair prints on the platform. Other staff-linked items get the same treatment in our piece on admin exclusive items.

The Glorious Party Queen colors are the closest thing hair has to a proper series. Roblox sold each one for 5,000 Robux in runs of 100 to 130 copies, starting with the Purple in June 2015 and finishing with the Vampire edition in September 2018. All five now sit in gem territory, meaning scarce and high value, with asking prices between 600,000 and 3.68 million Robux.

One more worth naming: Fuchsia Fantastique, from January 2010, described in the catalog as "The Atom Bomb of hair cuts!" It has 1,111 copies, far more than anything else on the list, and it still holds a RAP of 283,604 R$.

Why do the Party Queen hairs rank above their RAP?

Look at the Glorious Cyan Party Queen. Its RAP reads 50,239 R$, which would place it near the bottom of the table, yet traders price it fifth. The Pink is the same story at 46,395 R$.

The cause is the RAP formula. Each sale moves RAP only a tenth of the way toward the new price, so on an item where 101 copies sit in long-term collections and sales are rare, the number you see can be years behind the market. Our RAP explainer covers the mechanics. Treat RAP on a sub-200-copy hair as a floor and nothing more.

The ask side has the opposite problem. The cheapest listed copy of Tix Shaggy wants 9,999,999,999 R$, a placeholder price its owner never expects anyone to pay, the same pattern we documented in Limiteds listed for billions. When RAP is stale-low and the ask ladder is fantasy-high, the real trading range sits somewhere between, and you only find it by watching what actually sells. Items whose asking prices have drifted far above what anyone pays are called projected, explained in our projected items guide.

Which UGC hair Limiteds are worth the most? None clear 12,000 R$

Community-made hair has never produced a gem. These are the highest-RAP UGC hairs with at least 50 copies, a floor that keeps out items whose whole price history is one sale.

Hair Copies Launch price RAP Lowest ask
Witch of the Wood 75 175 R$ 11,465 R$ 15,000 R$
Blue Anime Drill Pigtails 250 70 R$ 9,551 R$ 2,500 R$
Cool Fluffy Swept Messy Boy Hair (Black to White) 100 Free 7,930 R$ 8,949 R$
Plat Messy Boy Hair 100 Free 6,867 R$ 23,030 R$
Red Messy Boy Hair 75 Free 6,358 R$ 9,999 R$
Platinum Hair with Bow and Bunny Ears 1,000 Free 6,185 R$ 45,000 R$

Launch prices here were tiny. A 175 Robux buy at release turned into a five-figure RAP for Witch of the Wood, which is the kind of return that pulls people into UGC flipping in the first place. Supply still separates these from the classics, since even 75 copies beats Rainbow Shaggy's entire mint. The ask column also moves in both directions: Blue Anime Drill Pigtails can be bought for 2,500 R$ against a RAP near 9,551, while the Platinum Hair with Bow and Bunny Ears asks 45,000 against a RAP of 6,185. Gaps like that first one are what the Deals feed is built to surface, and it needs a signed-in account.

You will also find UGC hairs with enormous RAPs and one or two copies. Wildy Rare Green Hair is a single copy first sold in August 2023 for 60,000 Robux, its RAP still reads 60,000, and the one listing on it asks 13,763,580 R$. A 2-copy hair called "exclusive rare christmas hair bcs theres only 2" sold at 100,000 Robux in November 2023 and carries a RAP to match, with no copy listed at all. One sale sets the entire price history on an item like that, so the number records a single moment from years ago.

Can you trade Roblox Limited hair? Only the classic ones

Classic hair is tradeable. You can swap Rainbow Shaggy or a Party Queen in Roblox's player-to-player trade system as long as both accounts hold an active Roblox Plus subscription, and the item is locked for 2 days after it arrives in your inventory through a trade. Trading is currently restricted for accounts based in South Korea.

UGC hair changes hands only through Marketplace resales. There is no trade route for it at all, which caps the tradeable hair pool at those 54 classic Limiteds. Holding periods apply to resales too, a holding period being the stretch after a purchase when Roblox blocks you from listing the item again: up to 30 days after buying from the creator at launch, and up to 7 days after buying from a reseller. Classic Limiteds bought from a reseller carry a 7-day hold. Our holding periods guide has the full rules.

How much do you keep when you resell a Limited hair? 70% or 50%

Roblox takes a cut of every resale, and the split depends on who made the hair. On a classic Roblox-made hair, the marketplace fee is 30% and you keep 70% of the sale price. On a community-made hair, Roblox's marketplace documentation sets the resale split at 50% to the reseller, 10% to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox.

That second number decides most UGC flips. Keeping half means an item has to resell for twice what you paid before you break even. Buy a hair at 4,000 R$, sell it at 8,000 R$, and you are square. The UGC reselling guide works through more of the math. Reselling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, and the docs note that reselling community-created Limiteds is unavailable for accounts based in Japan.

Is Roblox Limited hair worth buying? For wearing, yes

To wear, yes, and cheaply. Sold-out UGC hair in the 100 to 1,000 R$ range gives you a look almost nobody else has for less than the price of a new release.

For investing, the honest read is that hair is the hardest category on the platform to make money in. New hair floods the Marketplace every week, most prints are large, and the 2x break-even on UGC resales eats small moves. The hairs that hold value are a closed set of 54 Roblox-made items, most of them a decade old, and even the cheaper members of that group list in the tens of thousands of Robux. If you want exposure to hair, the realistic options are patient bids on thin classic prints, or buying well-made sold-out UGC hair under RAP and waiting for demand to catch up. None of this is financial advice, and a hair that sells for 10,000 R$ this month can sit unsold for a year.

One last thing for beginners: Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People, the most famous hair on Roblox, has never been a Limited. It still sells for 95 Robux, and anyone can buy a fresh copy today.

Figures in this article come from RBX Invest catalog data and Roblox's own item and economy records as of September 13, 2026, with fee and holding-period rules taken from Roblox's marketplace fees documentation.

FAQ

How much is the average Roblox Limited hair worth?

The median tracked Limited hair has a RAP of 77 Robux. Of the 7,320 hairs with a recorded price history, 6,356 trade under 500 R$, and only 38 reach 10,000 R$ or more.

What is the most valuable Roblox Limited hair?

Rainbow Shaggy, published by Roblox on October 20, 2011 for 2,500 Robux with 50 copies. Its RAP is 3,928,213 R$ and the cheapest copy listed asks 618,033,988 R$. Telamon Hair, with 35 copies, is the scarcest print in the top tier.

Can you trade Limited hair on Roblox?

Only classic hair made by Roblox, and only when both accounts have an active Roblox Plus subscription. Community-made UGC hair cannot be traded at all and moves only through Marketplace resales. A traded classic Limited is locked for 2 days afterwards.

Are UGC Limited hairs worth buying as an investment?

Rarely. The highest-RAP community-made hair with a real market, Witch of the Wood, sits at 11,465 R$, and everything else with 50 or more copies falls below 10,000 R$. New hair launches constantly, prints are large, and you keep only 50% of a resale, so a flip needs a 2x move to break even.

Why do some Limited hairs show a lowest price in the millions?

Because owners of thin-print items list at placeholder prices they never expect anyone to pay. Tix Shaggy's cheapest listing asks 9,999,999,999 R$. On items with 50 to 100 copies, the ask ladder tells you nothing about the trading range, and RAP usually lags it from the other side.

How much Robux do you keep when you resell a Limited hair?

On a classic Roblox-made hair you keep 70% after the 30% marketplace fee. On a community-made hair you keep 50%, with 10% going to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox.

How long do you have to wait before reselling a hair you just bought?

Up to 30 days if you bought a UGC Limited from its creator at launch, and up to 7 days if you bought it from a reseller. Classic Limiteds bought from a reseller carry a 7-day hold, and a classic Limited received in a trade is locked for 2 days.

Is Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People a Limited?

No. It is a regular catalog item that still sells for 95 Robux, so its supply keeps growing and it has no resale market. Only a couple of its recolors ever became collectible.
