Roblox's robot Limiteds are a family of 17 machine-themed collectibles with "Robot" in the name, published by Roblox between 2009 and 2017, running from the 1,101 Robux Robotron 9000 to the Robot Fedora. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so the only way to get one now is to buy it from a player who already owns a copy. The most valuable of the 17 is the Undead Prince Robot, at a RAP of 78,566 Robux across just 124 copies in RBX Invest catalog data as of September 7, 2026. RAP, short for Recent Average Price, is Roblox's slow-moving average of what an item has actually sold for.

Quick answer: There are 17 Limiteds named Robot, and the two priciest ones (the Undead Prince Robot and the Lovestruck Robot) were flops while they were on sale. Almost nobody bought them, so barely 150 copies of each exist, and when Roblox converted them to Limiteds in 2022 that frozen supply became the whole story. Roblox published these one at a time over eight years, so they are a family by theme and by name: 15 hats, one neck accessory and one gear item, all of them robots, all made by Roblox itself. That makes them classic Limiteds, meaning Roblox-created items that players can both trade and resell. Community-made UGC Limiteds, which arrived in April 2023, cannot be traded at all and only change hands through a Marketplace resale.

Eight of the 17 are Limited Unique, which means Roblox set a fixed stock number up front and stamped every copy with a serial, a number from #1 up to the total minted that records exactly which copy you own. The line starts with two 2009 robot heads

The oldest robots are the Robotron 9000, published June 10, 2009 at 1,101 Robux, and Goldbot Goldbot, published that November at 599 Robux with a stock of 500. Both prices are steep for 2009, and both items read as premium catalog pieces.

Goldbot's name is a programming joke. Its catalog description says the robot's real name is supposed to be just "Goldbot," but programmers are often off by one. Only 471 copies sit in our catalog today, and the cheapest one listed is 109,999 Robux against a 15,093 RAP, more than seven times over.

Read down the copies column and the ranking mostly sorts itself. The two scarcest robots take the top two spots, and the two items with about 5,000 copies each sit near the bottom. Supply is doing most of the work in a family with no famous mesh and no event pulling attention toward it.

The Robotron 9000 is the loud exception. At 428 copies it is the third-scarcest robot here, yet it sits seventh by RAP, and its cheapest listing is 420,069 Robux, roughly 34 times that RAP. That is the widest gap in the family by a distance, and it comes from the last few recorded sales being old and low.

The Undead Prince Robot has the same problem in milder form. Trader consensus on its street value sits well above the 78,566 RAP figure, and the 750,000 ask says so from the other side. Why did the rarest robots only become Limiteds in 2022?

Five of these robots were ordinary catalog hats for years. Roblox pulled them off sale, left them dormant, then converted them to Limiteds in a wave across 2022 and 2023. Roblox's own catalog records date each conversion:

The Undead Prince Robot is the clearest case of a flop turning into a gem, the word we use for a scarce, high-value Limited. It cost 200 Robux, the Roblox Wiki dates its catalog run from October 2012 to August 2013, and 124 people bought it in that time. Nobody wanted a rotting robot head. That indifference is why it now leads the family: when Roblox flipped the switch in 2022, supply was already frozen at 124 and no amount of new demand could add to it.

The Lovestruck Robot followed the same path. It went on sale in February 2014 at 214 Robux, sold roughly 150 copies, and sat dormant for eight years before its conversion. The Homemade Robot is the control group. It converted in the same wave, but 7,872 people had bought it at 25 Robux, and it trades under 1,000 Robux today. What makes the Robot Friend different? It talks

The Robot Friend is the only gear in the family, published in February 2011 at 200 Robux with a stock of 1,000. Gear is Roblox's old category of usable items, tools you equip inside an experience rather than wear on your avatar, and it only works in experiences whose owner has switched gear on.

Click it and the robot speaks in one of five recorded voice lines. Its catalog description, "Binary solo! 000000100000111100001110," references a Flight of the Conchords song about robots, per the Roblox Wiki. It is also the family's most reachable mid-tier position. At 956 copies with a 12,382 RAP and a 12,381 ask, it has the tightest ask-to-RAP spread of all 17. Most of the scarce end of this family is listed far above RAP, so an item you can buy at its RAP is unusual here.

How did gift cards and a building contest print robot hats?

Three of the 17 never had a Robux price at all.

Kid Robot was a prize in the Build a Robot Town contest, which ran June 21 to June 28, 2010. Per the Roblox Wiki, you earned it by getting a build rating of 1,650 or higher. It has 1,868 copies and 4,809 favorites, the most of any robot Limited in our catalog, which fits a prize a lot of old players are sentimental about.

Radioactive Robot came from Roblox gift cards sold at Sainsbury's in May 2013, and became a Limited that June. It is a retexture of the Simple Robot, a plain catalog hat, recolored into cracked green.

Retailer exclusives and contest prizes share a useful property: supply is capped by how many people happened to redeem or compete, and Roblox never picked a stock number. That produces odd, lumpy copy counts, which is why there are 824 Radioactive Robots.

The robots that crossed over into other families

Every one of them is worth more than the top item in the Robot-named family. Mr. Hatbot opens the Hatbot line, which has its own history worth reading, and its cheapest listing currently sits below its RAP, which on an item this thinly traded usually points to a stale RAP.

The Redspybot is the sharpest lesson here. It came from the same May 2013 gift card promotion as the Radioactive Robot, through F.Y.E. instead of Sainsbury's, and only 48 people redeemed it against 824 for the Sainsbury's hat. Same month, same mechanic, seventeen times the scarcity, and a RAP more than 20 times higher.

Which robot items are not Limiteds at all?

Two robot hats are still on sale from Roblox, and neither is collectible. The Simple Robot, first published in January 2012, costs 90 Robux on the catalog today. The Robot Beanie, from February 2015, costs 95. Both were checked on Roblox's catalog on September 7, 2026.

They also show what makes the Limiteds worth anything: an item Roblox keeps selling has no resale market, because a buyer can mint a fresh copy for 90 Robux instead of paying you more.

What drives robot Limited prices? Copy count first, everything else second

Supply sets the order. No legendary mesh, no event tie-in, no meme keeping the family in front of players. Strip those away and copies decide most of it, which is why the ranking tracks the copies column so closely.

Thin trading widens the spreads. The asks of 420,069 on the Robotron 9000 and 888,888 on the Lovestruck come from patient owners. Treat any single number at the scarce end as one end of a range.

Favorites break ties at the cheap end. Kid Robot has more favorites than any other robot Limited and trades above both the Robot Baseball Cap and the Grumpy Robot despite a similar era and a mid-size print. That is attention showing up in price where scarcity does not separate the items.

Conversion news is a real catalyst. Each of the 2022 and 2023 conversions turned a dead catalog hat into a tradeable asset overnight. If Roblox converts another offsale robot, expect the size of the move to track how few copies already exist.

Should you buy a robot Limited in 2026?

The Robot Friend is the most sensible entry point. It is the one member whose lowest ask sits at its RAP, it has a real gimmick in the voice lines, and 956 copies is genuinely scarce for a classic Limited. The Robot Costume is the other one near the top of the table listed below its RAP, at a 15,500 ask against a 16,384 RAP.

The Undead Prince Robot and the Lovestruck Robot are the family's gems, and buying either means negotiating with someone who knows exactly what they hold. They are listed at about ten and fourteen times their RAP. Neither is a casual position.

At the cheap end, the Happy Robot and Homemade Robot are sub-1,500 Robux items with 5,000 to 8,000 copies each. They are fine as starter pieces and unlikely to move much, since nothing about them is scarce.

Run the resale math before spending anything. Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee on classic Limited resales, so you keep 70% of whatever you sell for. Buy a robot at 10,000 Robux and you need about 14,300 just to break even, roughly 1.43 times your cost. Selling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account, though whoever buys from you needs no subscription at all.
