Roblox Guitar Limiteds: The Rarest and Most Valuable

The 4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar is the most valuable Roblox guitar Limited: 429 copies, a 114,042 RAP and a 144,449 R$ lowest ask.

The most valuable Roblox guitar Limited is the 4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar, a 2009 contest gear with 429 copies, a RAP of 114,042 Robux and a cheapest listed copy at 144,449 R$. RBX Invest tracks ten Roblox-made Limiteds built around a guitar, from that one down to the Gucci Guitar Case at a 407 RAP. A Limited is an item with a capped number of copies, so once the catalog stock sold out the only way to get one was to buy it from another player.

Quick answer: The 4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar leads Roblox's guitar Limiteds on both trader consensus and RAP, with 429 copies and a 144,449 R$ lowest ask. The scarcest is Guitar Glasses at 194 copies, and the most common by far is the Back Axe Guitar at 339,861 copies.

What is a Roblox guitar Limited? A sold-out Roblox-made item shaped like a guitar

Roblox published guitar items in a few different shapes. Some are gear, the old equippable tool category that shows up in your backpack. Some are back accessories that sit on your avatar's shoulders and do nothing but look good. Two are a face accessory and a hat with guitars printed on them.

A classic Limited is one Roblox made itself, which matters because the player-to-player trade system only accepts classic Limiteds. Every item in this article is classic, since Roblox published all of them. Several carry the older Limited U label, which Roblox used for items that launched with a fixed stock counter ticking down on the page.

Three numbers describe each one. Copies is how many exist across all of Roblox. RAP stands for Recent Average Price, a smoothed running average Roblox keeps of an item's past sale prices. Lowest ask is the cheapest copy listed right now, which is what you would actually pay today. Our guide to RAP explains how that average moves.

The guitars are only part of a wider family. The Roblox Wiki's guitar series page lists 25 guitar gears, and most of them never went Limited at all. The Face Melting Guitar is the best example: Roblox published it in 2012 and it is still sitting in the catalog at 325 Robux today, so it has no copy cap, no RAP and no resale market. The live-ranked classic gear collection shows which gear items did go Limited.

Which Roblox guitar Limited is worth the most? The 4-String Roblocaster, by a wide margin

The table below is ordered by trader consensus on street value, which for most of this family lines up with RAP order. RBX Invest catalog data as of September 22, 2026.

Item Type Released Copies RAP (R$) Lowest ask (R$)
4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar Gear Aug 2009 429 114,042 144,449
Guitar Glasses Face Dec 2010 194 34,651 6,767,676,767
Light Face Melting Guitar Gear Nov 2013 1,000 9,776 10,867
Keytar Sword Gear May 2018 1,697 6,086 44,998
ROBLOX World Tour Lightning Guitar Gear May 2013 3,251 3,577 4,100
Joaquin's Guitar Back Aug 2022 6,354 3,178 3,499
Guitar Sword Gear Aug 2011 1,672 2,129 2,661
Rockstar Guitar Baseball Cap Hat Jan 2015 6,957 1,222 1,498
Back Axe Guitar Back Dec 2017 339,861 628 650
Gucci Guitar Case Back May 2021 31,640 407 400

The spread is enormous. The cheapest copy of the Roblocaster costs about 361 times the cheapest copy of the Gucci Guitar Case, and the gap comes down almost entirely to copies and to who was around when each launched.

Why is the 4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar so expensive? 429 copies and a 2009 contest

4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar

Roblox published the Roblocaster on August 14, 2009. Community records on the Roblox Wiki tie it to the ROBLOX Tutorial Video Contest, which ran that summer and handed prizes to players who made tutorial videos. Roblox then put it in the catalog at 5,000 Robux, a price almost nobody paid in 2009, and made it Limited on January 10, 2010.

That two-step history is why only 429 copies exist. A short prize window plus a price tag most players could not reach means the supply was capped before Roblox's userbase exploded. Its catalog description still riffs on an old Roblox video.

Trader consensus puts the Roblocaster above its 114,042 RAP, and the cheapest listed copy at 144,449 R$ agrees. RAP updates by only one tenth of the gap on each sale, so on an item that trades a handful of times a year the average sits below where owners are willing to let a copy go.

Why do some guitar Limiteds list far above their RAP? Thin supply and projected asks

Guitar Glasses

Guitar Glasses is the strangest row in the table. It is a Limited U face accessory from December 2010 that sold for 900 Robux, and our catalog counts just 194 copies, fewer than any other guitar item. Its RAP reads 34,651 R$. Its cheapest listing reads 6,767,676,767 R$.

Nobody is buying it at 6.7 billion. When an owner has no intention of selling, parking a joke number on the listing keeps the copy in their inventory while still showing up as "for sale". We wrote about that habit in Limiteds listed for billions. Treat a floor like that as a signal that no real copies are available.

The Keytar Sword has a milder version of the same problem. Its RAP is 6,086 R$ while the cheapest copy asks 44,998 R$, roughly seven times higher. With 1,697 copies and very few of them listed, the handful of owners who did list set the price, and the RAP keeps reporting on trades that happened long ago. Items priced this way are called projected, and our projected items guide covers how to spot them before you overpay. The rarest Limiteds collection ranks the whole market by surviving copies if you want to see which families run this thin.

Can you still play a Roblox guitar Limited in game? Only where gear is allowed

Five of the ten are gear, which is Roblox's oldest item category. Gear only appears in your backpack inside experiences that switch gear on, and most modern games leave it off.

Some of these also stopped working on their own. Both Orbital Violins went silent after their background music was pulled over copyright, and the Roblox Wiki records the Light Face Melting Guitar and several other old guitars breaking in later Roblox updates. Buyers today are paying for inventory value and history. Our gear Limiteds explainer covers what still functions.

The ROBLOX World Tour Lightning Guitar is the one with the best story attached. Roblox sold it on a timer in May 2013 for 500 Robux and made it Limited two days later. Playing the right notes struck every nearby player with lightning, which made it a menace in roleplay games for years.

Why is the Back Axe Guitar so cheap? 339,861 copies is the answer

Back Axe Guitar

The Back Axe Guitar sat in the catalog at 250 Robux from December 2017 until July 2022, and Roblox flipped it to Limited status the day after pulling it from sale. Almost five years of unlimited sales means 339,861 copies exist, one of the largest counts on any classic Limited.

Its RAP is 628 R$ against a 650 R$ cheapest copy, so almost nine years after release a copy costs roughly two and a half times its 250 Robux launch price. Scarcity is the engine behind every price in the table above, and this item has none of it. Roblox has moved several old catalog items to Limited status the same way, which our guide to offsale items going Limited walks through.

Two other rows came from brand events. The Gucci Guitar Case dropped inside the Gucci Garden experience in May 2021 and went Limited on May 28 that year with 31,640 copies, part of the wider set covered in our Gucci Roblox items history. Joaquin's Guitar came out of the Guacathon with Denzel Curry on August 4, 2022, sold for 200 Robux in a three-hour window, and went Limited two days later. Joaquin's Guitar holds above 3,000 R$ off 6,354 copies while the Gucci case sits near 400 R$ off 31,640, which is the copy count doing the work again.

What other instrument Limiteds did Roblox make? A harmonica and two violins

Roblox capped three more instruments outside the guitar family. They sit in the same corner of the catalog, and one of them dwarfs every guitar on the list.

Item Released Copies RAP (R$) Lowest ask (R$)
Transient Harmonica Aug 2010 1,037 1,459,677 1,449,998
Orbital Violin Strike 2014 1,001 9,444 8,971
Orbital Violin: Deep Freeze Dec 2016 1,230 7,276 7,218

The Transient Harmonica is a gem, the site's word for a scarce Limited that sits at the top of its category. At a 1,459,677 RAP, one copy is worth more than a set of all ten guitar Limiteds put together. It is also one of only three Limiteds that actually emit sound in an experience, which we covered in Roblox items that make sound.

The two Orbital Violins are close siblings. Both launched at 1,000 Robux with roughly a thousand copies, both summon flaming violins at whoever is nearby, and both now trade within a few hundred Robux of their RAP. Deep Freeze came later and exists in slightly higher numbers, which is most of why it trades lower.

Are Roblox guitar Limiteds worth buying in 2026? Only at the top and bottom ends

The middle of this family is the awkward part. Items like the World Tour Lightning Guitar and Joaquin's Guitar have thousands of copies and no scarcity story, so they drift along with the wider market. They are fine to own and slow to gain.

The Roblocaster behaves like a collector item. Under 500 copies of a 2009 contest gear is genuinely hard to replace, and the ask sits above RAP, which usually means owners are in no hurry to sell. The cost of entry is the problem: at 144,449 R$ it locks up more Robux than most players have, and a thin market cuts both ways when you want out.

At the cheap end, the Back Axe Guitar and the Gucci Guitar Case are the ones to buy if you just want the look. Both sit under 700 R$, both sell quickly because plenty of copies exist, and neither will move much in either direction. The Limiteds under 1,000 Robux collection has the rest of that price band, and our live Deals feed flags copies listed under RAP once you sign in.

One trap worth naming: do not judge Guitar Glasses or the Keytar Sword by their lowest ask. Check the recent sales and the reseller ladder on the Guitar Glasses item page before you decide either is a bargain or a fortune.

None of this is financial advice. Robux spent on Limiteds can lose value, and thin markets like this one can take months to sell out of.

FAQ

What is the most valuable Roblox guitar Limited?

The 4-String Roblocaster Premiere Guitar, with a RAP of 114,042 Robux and a lowest listed copy at 144,449 R$ as of September 22, 2026. It has 429 copies, the second-lowest count of any guitar Limited, and trader consensus places it above its RAP.

How many Roblox guitar Limiteds are there?

RBX Invest tracks ten Roblox-made Limiteds built around a guitar: five gear items, three back accessories, one hat and one face accessory. Dozens of other Roblox guitars exist in the catalog, but they never had a copy cap, so they are ordinary items with no resale market.

Why is the Guitar Glasses listed for billions of Robux?

Because its owners do not want to sell. Listing a copy at 6,767,676,767 R$ keeps it technically for sale without any risk of it actually selling. The item has 194 copies and a 34,651 R$ RAP, so the listing sits about 195,000 times above what the item is actually worth.

Can you still use guitar gear in Roblox games?

Only in experiences that switch gear on, and most modern games leave it off. Several of these items also lost their sounds or animations in later Roblox updates, and both Orbital Violins went silent after their music was removed over copyright.

Is the Back Axe Guitar rare?

No. It has 339,861 copies, one of the highest counts on any classic Limited, because Roblox sold it openly from December 2017 to July 2022 before capping it. Its 628 R$ RAP works out to about two and a half times its 250 Robux launch price, which is small for a nine-year-old classic Limited.

How much do you keep when you resell a guitar Limited?

You keep 70% of the sale price, because Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee on classic Limited resales. Selling a copy for 10,000 R$ pays you 7,000 R$, so you need roughly 1.43 times your purchase price to break even. Reselling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account.

Can you trade Roblox guitar Limiteds?

Yes. Every item in this article is a classic Limited made by Roblox, and the trade system accepts classic Limiteds. Both accounts need an active Roblox Plus subscription, and a holding period applies after you buy a copy before you can resell it.

Which guitar Limited is the cheapest to buy?

The Gucci Guitar Case at a 400 R$ lowest ask, with the Back Axe Guitar close behind at 650 R$. Both have tens of thousands of copies, so listings are always available and neither takes long to sell when you want out.
